Registered 5 years agoIs there some way of playing PS1 games full screen on PS3? Playing in a little window is especially annoying when you're already using a 5" screen. -

Registered 7 years agoSlim pickings for Vita owners again today. Aside from the DLC overload and some new trailers (including Super Monkey Ball), we also have a demo for Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen and 2 minis, Idiot Squad and Touchdown Fever. That said, there seems to be a few items on sale for older PSP games. Tactics Ogre is a popular looking one at £7.99. Full list to follow later on.
If you're a PSP owner, you can also grab hold of 2 other Neo Geo games, or you can grab Arc the Lad 2 for the PS1 import range.
Sorry for the brief run through again this week. All the DLC hunting is taking ages to go through. I may start splitting that into a Friday update instead. It gives me more time

Registered 7 years agoThere's a lot of content out this week!*
* Well, a new firmware update counts, right?
Slim pickings for the Vita this week as the content drought continues. At this rate, we'll be facing a ban on playing anything until the well fills up again. One solitary demo (which doesn't sound like an actual demo) is all we have for all users as Ridge Racer's E3 "interactive" demo hits the store. Free of charge as usual.
On the minis front, I Kill Zombies gets released (though it's unavailable from the any of the stores at the moment - I've given OpenEmotion a heads up
). Golf Mania is also on the store (only via search at the moment). The latest title from Icon Games involves a difficult game of crazy golf over 10 different courses. If you do grab this game, you may spot someone familiar in the credits screen
. There are also 2 new themes available on the PSP store.
Obviously, the DLC deluge continues but even that only trickles in this week with the Carnival Pack (and subsequent Time Saver pass) for MotorStorm RC, more BlazBlue voices and a Bunny Ears equipment set for Army Corps of Hell (what an odd crossover). Oh, and a new FIFA trailer...
Back next week. DLC updates will be on Fridays from now on - unless the updates are as slow as this...
Next Week
Nothing (ignore the entry for Defenders of the Mystic Garden - it's been delayed)
4th April 2012
****Vita Trials and Demos****
Ridge Racer 2011 E3 Interactive Demo (D)
****PSP minis****
I Kill Zombies - (Not yet available)
Golf Mania - £2.49 (search only)
****PSP Themes****
Waterfall Static Theme by Studio Output - £0.79
Elements Static Theme by Studio Output - £0.79 (from last week)
****Vita DLC, Game Packs and Online/Network Passes****
Army Corps of Hell: Bunny Ears Equipment Set - FREE
BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend: System Voices Kokonoe Type A/B - £4.79
MotorStorm RC Carnival Expansion Pack - £2.39
MotorStorm RC Carnival Time Saver Pass - £0.40
MotorStorm RC Bonus Supermini: Bumper - FREE
MotorStorm RC Special Buggy: Wulff Weenie - £0.21

I've just taken a punt on it. Had a quick look on Metacritic, and most of the reviews seemed to say it was pretty good, but way too short for the price they were asking. After getting the new Motorstorm pack, I only had to add another fiver.

Registered 6 years agoThe reason why Golf Mania may not be viewable without searching is that the release date is 18/04/2012. Unless we've travelled to the future and I've not been briefed on it. -

Initial impressions are that it's really good fun! I've only played on rookie difficulty so far, although I have opened medium, because I'm just enjoying feeling as if controlling a mini MJ. The graphics are very nice, and with headphones on the sound is great. I know it should be on a music game, but I was worried it would be poorly compressed.
Edge or GamesTM are never going to give it any coverage, some "serious" gamers would hate it, and at £25 it would awful value for just 15 songs. For under £9 quid though I think I'll get my value, and my son is loving watching me play it so far! -

Yep, me too. What a complete waste of time. There wasn't even any footage in it. I'm actually desperate to play the game too, just waiting for a version with all the dlc included for one price.
