Well, that lot are about as Christian as Pastafarianists.

I was looking at it from a Christian viewpoint Kal, not a Jewish one :-)

The Old Testament is the one where God is an asshole, says a lot of assholey things and kills (almost) everyone. Utter bastard. No wonder people tend to kinda shy away from it where they can.

    I'm a grumpy bastard.

They could render the crucifiction in glorious 8-bit and convert all the hymns to chiptune.

How did a thread about Margaret Thatcher turn into a debate over religious attitudes to homosexuality?

Is she to blame for this as well as the milk stealing fiasco?

The age of consent was raised, and then Madgod said that was a disgusting act because being gay is evil. It went from there.

The section 28 stuff had absolutely nothing to do with the age of consent stuff.

So are we talking 2 out of 3 here or is there a statistical relevant sample of Christians that you've discussed this with in the past?

I fucking hated school milk, especially in summer, having been left outside in direct sunlight for a couple of hours it was more like a cheese milkshake.

It was a general anecdote, I wasn't attaching any sort of weight to it (though if you're asking how many Christians I've discussed their belief system with, probably about 30-40 in the last couple of years I guess? More if you go back further).

But my main point is that I think the real message of Christianity lies in broader strokes, not in the superfine detail. That would be, as they, an ecumenical matter.

We always had ours straight from the chiller. Little quarter-pint cartons of lovely Jersey Milk, complete with straws, at about 10.30 every morning.

Every 1st Tuesday of the month I hear. It's in a small hall at the back of the community centre. There's free milk.

So you'd say, in the last year or so, you've asked 30 to 40 christians their opinions on the old testament?

No, just had general religious discussions with them and how they view the world and their beliefs. Does this really matter?

    Yes, I'm just interested.

So it what kind of situations do you question these 40 christians? Is it like over coffee? In the street? In a public rest room?

He tee'd up the interviews right after the Bobby Kotick one.

Apparently Big Bob believes the world is only 6000 years old.
