    I recall the SNES 50Hz games are around 15% slower, smaller, and distorted screen. Fucking awful.

    I've been watching videos on youtube today and I've decided that next weekend, a WiiU shall be mine.

    Going to opt for the ZombiU bundle I reckon.

    The recent announcements certainly helped my decision but the two Platinum games are enough to secure my money.

    I have one question. I've heard that the original Wii implementation has been handled badly. Is it really that bad? I'm keen on getting round to playing Galaxy 2, Skyward Sword and DKCR.

    I believe it just slow to boot up but apart from that it's all good. Just needs to boot up in an Wii OS mode - clunky as fuck. But once you are in you are in.

    Swapped nsmbu in cex (28)for Nintendo land today (£22) and am rather impressed with Nintendo land. Seems good fun.

    May go get a couple more copies tomorrow. Checked in Hmv and they are giving 25 cash or £30 trade, so a nifty little way to make some spare pennies.

    Ive been tempted to boot up some wii games in the wii u just to see if the HDMI makes any difference, mind you ive upgraded to a 55inch panny as well, i used to play my wii games on a 42inch sharp so i doubt id see much difference. Mind you Wii U games look brilliant on the panny though, especially nintendo land.

    Anyone have Sonic all stars on wii u, whats it look like, im currently playing through the 360 version and its prob the first game to make me realise that a new generation wouldnt be a bad thing. Its washed up, grainy, but the game is still good fun though. Mind you ass creed 3 looked the goods on HDMI. Is sonic just as average on the wii u graphics wise?

    Right, Wii U ordered. The zombiu bundle shall arrive Monday or Tuesday. How does the pro pad compare to the 360 pad?

    I can't wait, I haven't had a new console for years.

    I want one simply for the controller use in lounge situation but needs to be sub 180 first. That will be a while off yet.

    Oh, well I guess that is handy. Guess the added time allowed them to have it as q download patch so it worked.

    Remember though that some games have specific functions on the gamepad screen. For those games, you need a second gamepad to act as the gamepad mini screen to the gamepad main screen. (You can daisy chain gamepads so one acts as the main TV screen and one acts as the gamepad screen).

    @figaro7 Ive got Sonic all stars transformed on all three systems (dont ask why lol) and honestly its the PS3 and Wii U versions that look identical. Your right the 360 version does seem washed out and grainy while the other two look vibrant and clear. Still great to play though on either so i wouldnt worry about it.

    You want to look for games that support Off-TV Play

    Not sure how up-to-date the wiki list is but it'll do for a start and i think they said the new Wii-U Virtual Console games will support off-tv play.
