Okore has signed for Villa. \o/

It's a strange feeling having signings done so quickly and not waiting until the last day of the transfer window to do business.

Edit: we've also signed a Dutch winger too:

I suspect Paul Lambert might be an FM scouting manager! Okore is very good a few years down the line in FIFA.

Whoop, at this rate we are going to have a team full of wingers! Glad to hear the Okore deal is done too. I had assumed that one was going to be hijacked by another club.

You are a factory of sadness.

Give the media some time, they're cooking up something (apparently a 30mil bid for El-Shaddarwey).

Love the whole "Wenger doesn't want to spend 23mil on Fellaini". Really? But you just said he already activated it with a 23mil bid just last week.

On Cabaye being a bit inconsistent, it really seems to be a common theme with Newcastle. So many of their players look like world-beaters on their day, but don't bring it to enough games.

    Is it possible it's a managerial/coaching issue?
Heh, it's more than a possibility.

Cabaye came into last season suffering from 'depression', and suffered a pretty bad injury too. When he did play he was either great or he was the opposite, and he was often anonymous.

He also found himself having to cover for Tiote who really isn't that great, and is misused by Pardew (Tiote can't shoot or pass to save his life, he should only be a 'midfielder enforcre' and protector of the back 4).

What happened to that Jernade Meade or however you spell it? I thought he was a bright prospect but Arsenal let him go.

He's in the IBWM 100 for 2013 as well, which is usually a very good sign.

Apparently Owen Coyle has got the Wigan job. I've always liked him, but he seems a one-trick pony manager to me. When it works, it's brilliant (a la Burnley), but when it doesn't, he seems to have no other ideas (a la Bolton).

Be interesting to see which way it goes at Wigan as they are the sort of team that like to play the way he does as well. Good luck to him!

It worked for Bolton for some time though, he just didn't know how to change it (no idea if there was no investment etc). 12 month rolling contract, clever by Wigan.

There was no real money. As far as I can gather Bolton are perpetually on the edge of Bankruptcy.

He attended Eton College and the University of Aix-Marseilles. He married Lady Sarah Ramsay, daughter of the 16th Earl of Dalhousie, in 1966.

He is a member of gentleman's clubs White's and The City University Club. He has supported "Business for Sterling", and sat on the board of corporate donors to the Conservatives.

    Amazing.
