Uo there with the best news from E3 (although we all knew it was coming anyway) the first one was a cracking little game, one of the best you can get on PSN, so I'm really looking forward to this, even if it is just new levels I would be happy \o/

How is the first one? I have enjoyed monsters and eden but never get around to finishing them (which is odd for me).

    Apparently, very well received.

There's a demo available on the store.

Loved PixelJunk Shooter. Very enjoyable, very accessible, great controls and worth every penny for me.

The 2 player is great for 'gamers' and 'non gamers' alike.

I am looking forward to the sequel.

Pretty good reviews all round with EG being the lowest but then they do love their 7's (to be fair it got one other 7) but generally a well received game, can't buy it yet, need to get out of the habit of buying games before finishing others, but soon, very soon.........

I really liked the first but for some reason am not feeling up for this. Whatever happened to PJDungeon?

No-one knows, but if that's what it sounds like, I'm in :D.

Managed to play a level before the TV was taken. Interested in the multi-player aspect but surely you'd have to get yourself up the leagues while everyone is still learning...

Played the first set of levels, and it's ace. Lovely inventive fun. :)

Seems a bit more challenging than the first too.

Just had a quick go on the multiplayer mode. It's rather good. You to collect miners and get them to your safe zone and the other guy has to shoot you and collect you symbol. :)

Started this today too. Good fun - a simple continuation of the original, although seems a touch harder.

Exactly what I was hoping for :D

Touch harder indeed but you still suck at it Flying_pig =]

I'm loving it, great game at a great price. First thing I've turned my PS3 on since completing Dead Space.

Tried to find a match in Online play but it never connected =/

If it doesn't find a match after ~10 seconds it doesn't ever seem to find one. Quitting out and retrying works most of the time for me.

Not many people playing multiplayer atm, which is a shame as it's bloody good! Love having magma fireballs + heat resistance + water/magma switch as my powerups.

I think the singleplayer was a bit of a missed opportunity. There were very few actual puzzles. It was more like "survive until the next one-way switch".

eek, I just passed the first lot of levels. This game is fucking nails! I keep going too fast through a section of the level I've already gone through and an crashing into a spawned enemy or forgetting about a hazard and dying.

It's a lot more ARGH! Than the first one. I loved fast running the first game. Looking forward to playing two player and online :)

Certainly tougher, and some of the enemies in the second part(Chapter 5) require a bit of thinking to dispatch 'em. Prefer the second part more than the first - much more like the original.

    I did have a go at my first online match over the weekend. It was quite tense at 2-2 and into extra turn but then our connection got cut off ;_;

    Not tried it since really...

So, I got my first online match and having not played a single match before it pitted me against Jon_Bright. Only the 4th best player in the world. One of the 8 people who've actually made it to the sun level.

    FUCK THAT.

They have clearly not sold enough copies on Launch to make online match making viable. Damn shame. Good in principle but damn I suck! Why did Q-games release a game they didn't market in the slightest?

I just won my first match, 6-0. It helps that the person playing was just starting out though :).

I lost the previous 2 though. 0-3 and 1-3 (they love nicking your capsules) -_-

Edit: and now I've reached the next rank! \o/

Dylan Cuthbert talked about the mechanics of the matchmaking on GAF. Ping plays a big part and I suspect Jon_Bright is a Brit, so perhaps that explains it (I've been matched against him repeatedly during what I thought would be peak times) Or maybe he was just the only other player online at that time. It's possible. Matchmaking is good in this sense because it helps to disguise the lack of players. Easiest way to kill a multiplayer game is to openly give the impression that no one is playing.
