I've been enjoying it quite a bit to be honest. It won't ever be Mr Robot or The Wire, but it's not trying to either.

If you didn't like it before the baseball episode, there's nothing new that will change your mind though. More of the same.

I'm bored of it now. It needs to end, as does the comic as it's simply repeating itself with re-skinned enemies.

It didn't have to be The Wire or Mr Robot or whatever. It just had to not actively insult my intelligence and waste my time. Previous seasons of TWD managed this (at times, with no thanks to Andrea), but the previous season did not. And the "cliffhanger" introduction of Negan was the last straw.

But hey, maybe it got good after that. I didn't want to stick around to see, though. I don't really have time any more to watch shows I don't enjoy, in the hopes that they might get better.

Same here tbh. 7 seasons is a good run in anyones book and always used to be the cue to end.
I think it peaked with the Governor and has been on the slide ever since.

    @Mola_Ram

    Spot on.

I managed the first episode of this season and then gave up.

Also, I found myself uncomfortable with the gratuitous violence in a Zombie show, which seems ridiculous, but the show was revelling in it.

I don't mind if the violence is done in a cartoonishly over-the-top way, if the show is something tongue-in-cheek (like Z Nation). But TWD has always been Serious Business, so the constant dialling up of the gore (remember Noah?) feels out of place to me.

Fear The Walking Dead in Not Crap Shocker*. I've just watched ep. 4 of series 3, and it was actually pretty good TV- well written, well acted and a pretty strong coherent plot and almost all Spanish dialogue (not sure what difference that made, but it felt right).

I'm not sure if they've changed the producer or the writers, but the new series is a different beast to the series 2- I kind of want to see what the main cast do next.

    *Your mileage may vary.

Well that explains why most of season 2 was rubbish.

Looks promising though. More action in that trailer than whole of last series

So, Morgan dies then? Anyone who says 'I don't die' in a trailer normally dies before the end of the season.

They need to kill off half the cast. Too many characters in it now.

I know it's not a fair comparison as they're very different shows but this doesn't half look crap compared directly to GoT.

From past experience of TWD trailers, thats all the good action parts in the trailer. s7 was such a crap fest, I don't have much faith in season 8 but hoped to be proved wrong

Usual largely meaningless splurge of scenes in a random order. I'll be watching but this trailer basically does nothing to affect thus

It's a strange show in that so many people moan about it or slate it, but still end up watching it :)

It's horrendously over-wrought, and misses great opportunities for depth with plain hammy dialogue, but I still buzzed through the last few seasons. At least it ends, unlike cesspits of despair like Eastenders.
