The new episode is pretty good. No idea how they were allowed to be so pro-cannabis.

Heh, Family Guy is the Eurogamer of animated comedy. Just not as good as it used to be.

Except it was never really that good to begin with...

It's season 7, and it's been mostly terrible with the odd good episode here and there.

Well no. Series 7 DVD set, which is technically series 6

The UK DVDs are all named wrong after, instead of giving us season 4, they split it in half and gave us Volumes 1 and 2. Season 7.

Don't you know about the word? (not a link to Family Guy itself)

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

I haven't enjoyed Family Guy lately. The latest episode was just annoying. American Dad however was brilliant this week.

It is now just trying to be controversial for the sake of it. Peter murdering the cat this week didn't bother me but it was just unnecessary to the story. Seems like they have just run out of ideas.

Er, Family Guy has been doing this ever since it came back 5(?) years ago. It's no worse for it now than it ever was.

The controversial scenes were usually relevant to the story though. Now they are just there to fill time like a five minute Conway Twitty song.

I've seen almost every new episode and this is definitely the worst season so far, but it still makes me laugh and I'd welcome a new season.

It's the funniest thing on BBC3 although that doesn't say much.

I'm still loving it, though it does seem less funny generally. Though I laugh more the the Surfin' Bird episode every time I see it.

That's true, but I still thought it was decent. Nice to see they didn't feel the need to conclude it with a "actually weed really is evil" section.

Are the new episodes currently being shown on BBC 3 the ones which were forcibly made during the writers strike?

Because they are even less funny than Family Guy's occasional lows...

I remember watching FG ages ago when my friends at the time had got into it. They were giggling away at the UTTER FUCKING SHIT that it was. My view has improved only a tiny bit since then. It's wank.

Hilarious stuff this week. I was in tears at some points. A surprisingly funny episode.

I love FG but the last 2 episodes shown on BBC3,Brian gets replaced by a new dog and Peter going back to retake 3rd grade, were 2 of the worst I have seen, still some laughs. Too many cut aways in last nights and too much refs only the Yanks would get. Hopefully only a small drop in Q.
At least I have been able to catch up with KOTH on fx, seasons 1-11 and beyond are always excellent.

Apparently they are making a new SW episode. Which should be some more cheap laughs pandering to the easily pleased. Will watch.

The latest episode shown in the US was pretty terrible, unless you consider jokes about Fox being a crummy network still cutting edge and hilarious.

They're making two, covering ESB and Jedi. Something, Something, Something, Dark Side will launch the new season in September. The ROTJ episode (called The Great Muppet Caper) is due out next year.
