Xbox Live does Canal+ deal News

Microsoft has announced that French Xbox 360 owners will soon be able to watch live and on-demand TV from Canal+ via Xbox Live.
In a similar deal to the Sky TV one for the UK, the French broadcaster will offer access to more than 3,000 films, drama and soap programmes and Ligue 1 football matches, Reuters report.
Also like the Sky deal, the arrangement allows for avatar-based chat during programmes with a little help from Xbox Live's party system.
The report said that the deal may be extended to other Canal+ services and Microsoft products in future. With British and French deals now in place, the implication is that more will follow for other European countries, too.

These people claiming there PS3's are quite when watching DVD's clearly haven't tried watching a DVD that's longer than 40 minutes in hot weather. It's just as loud as the 360 then!

Maybe I have a different 360 from everyone else but unless I am playing a DVD game, I can barely here the 360 fan. I do have a 60GB PS3 the one with full BC and it can get quite loud if I have it running for any length of time. No the Drive does not make any noise but the fan that keeps it cool can sound pretty loud. My PS3 is definitely louder than my 360 If I am not playing a DVD game within the 360.

Yeah, my Sky+ box is completely silent... NOT. And unlike my 360, it whines to life whenever it likes and makes noisy hard drive noises for 20 minutes.

I made a statement of fact about my PS3 - not sure how that has anything to do with idiotic willy waving? Anyway my karma rating on that post is currently back to zero. Such a pointless system...
