Xbox Facebook/Twitter in mid-November?
So said Xbox site before it was scrubbed.
Wondering when Facebook and Twitter will launch on Xbox Live? Then I hate you. But the Xbox website reckons 17th November.
That's the UK Xbox website, and that's as of Saturday, when it was snapped by Joystiq.
The same page has since reverted to saying "autumn 2009". Can't stop the signal, chaps.
Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm integration were announced for Xbox 360 at E3 this year, and there's been talk recently about a public beta for certain users and members of the press.
Microsoft also took Xbox Live down for a few hours at the end of September to pave the way for the social bolt-ons.
Did you know you can follow Eurogamer on Twitter? No? You're not missing much.

Concerns me that they mention Twitter and Facebook but ignore Last.fm - is that not going to come with the other two? Last.fm is the only one that might be a little bit useful, even if you cant (yet) play Last.fm in the background of games.

On topic however while this is good news, i don't use twitter, and i can't imagine the apps working on the xbox for facebook. I only really play games on facebook and i doubt MS would allow free games through that.

The Sky integration is the one I really care about though.

What's not to understand i don't plan on using Twitter, however i already use facebook, unless i can do everything on facebook on my xbox that i can do on pc, meaning run all the apps including the games i won't be using it. Games use flash and as far as i am aware that is not supported on the xbox. The basics will be there such as chatting, posting etc, but i can't see ALL of the apps working.

I found those all the same way exactly. Facebook also sounded better to me when thy announced the light version for that matter. But even if i know that ill never use Twitter on the PC I agree that it might be something to use on the 360 for its usefulness and ease to see and reply to whatever through it on the console. ( I do hope I dont use it though.. ) But yeah, All those including the ingame video capturing, might be things I dont use but glad they offer so many services and options for any kind of needs forthe ones that would and could take advantage of the possibilities.
I just dont have time for them either...

Fair enough from your point then this would be very good for you and will most likely serve you some use. Just for me a "lite" version isn't any good.
Well i hope you have fun on it anyway, no doubt i will test it out anyway to see what i can do, hopefully flash will come with it =P on can dream haha
