Wii to get Starbreeze's Enclave
Fantasy action-RPG exhumed from vault.
German developer Village1 Entertainment has announced that it's porting Starbreeze's Xbox and PC fantasy adventure, Enclave, to the Wii. The game is due out in early 2010.
The Wii version will offer everything the 2002 original did, plus a few new, as yet unspecified, features. Enclave is a third- and first-person action game with RPG elements, the player taking the mantle of numerous characters - knights, elves, rogues and magicians from both sides of the divide between good and evil.
You can find out more by reading our original 7/10 review, written by Tom, who must have been a small child at the time. He declared himself impressed by the "beautiful, seamless world", but underwhelmed by the story, and found the combat "simplistic and quite agonising at times", like trying to do his shoelaces up on his own, presumably.
Sweden's Starbreeze released Enclave before it rose to fame with 2004's cult stealth shooter, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. Work was under way on a GameCube conversion at one point, which presumably forms the basis of this port.
Enclave for Wii doesn't have a publisher as yet.

I'd be surprised if the Wii version will look as good as that version though since on the evidence of the games so far it can't even match the original Xbox graphics wise. That said, if anyone can milk performance out the Wii and show what it can really do, it's Starbreeze (and probably Factor 5 too).

Yes, Starbreeze knows how to put out a good looking game. But this port is not done by Starbreeze, but by a german developer I have a really hard time getting any information on (and I live in germany). Does anyone know what they have done before?

Fortunately, I chose the latter.
