The Maw coming to XBLA next week
Indie champ with blobs and aliens.
Twisted Pixel Games will be offering The Maw on Xbox Live Arcade from Wednesday 21st January.
This action-adventure outing costs 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60) and puts players in charge of alien Frank, who happens to be best friends with Maw, a leashed blob that eats and grows.
Guiding the hungry beast around forms the central theme of the game, which also boasts plenty of puzzles plus a full and pretty 3D world to solve them in.
As a mark of quality, The Maw was picked out as a Penny Arcade Expo (PAX 10) Audience Choice Award winner, and also an Independent Games Festival (IGF) 2009 finalist. Can't be too rubbish, then.
We'll offer our thoughts soon. Until then, head over to The Maw gallery for the latest screenshots.
