Indiana Jones Staff of Kings game dated
And co-stars Han Solo, pistol, waistcoat.
Activision has told Eurogamer that Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings will be released for DS, PS2, PSP and Wii on 12th June.
The date follows the bizarre revelation that Han Solo will be a playable character in the game.
He'll be able to use his laser pistol, according to a StarWars.com trailer, but otherwise acts more-or-less the same as Indiana Jones: pouty one-liners, rugged good looks, stick insect girlfriends and so on and so forth.
We're not sure whether Han is the the secret co-op character LucasArts teased back at the game's unveiling in February, incidentally.
Of the SKUS, the Wii version provides the most interest, with motion-sensing whip and punching controls, and gesture-based escape sequences. There's multiplayer, too.
Head over to the Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings gamepage to find out more.

Now I've read the article it just reminds me how amazing a proper Han Solo game would be. Imagine a first person shooter that allows you to be Solo. The scenarios and adventures being a gun for hire, a smuggler is unlimited. Added to that, a really cool ship, the Star Wars universe and it's myriad of worlds and aliens. I can't see how that wouldn't be popular.

Used to play that ages ago - Elite on the Amiga, and called the pilot Han Solo
Other than that not a bad idea indeed

I was called Han Solo too! And what are you talking about - the Imperial Courier was a lovely looking ship and great for smuggling!
Plus it was the fastest heap of junk in the galaxy*...
Man i miss that game...
(*once it was outfitted with a military drive)

Fair point
WinUAE is your friend by the way - amazing how the game's still a lot of fun despite its age. I could initially only play it on my C64 with 2 colours and slideshow speed and enviously drooled over my mate's Amiga version - ah the memories *sigh*

Most of us back then seemed to think that's exactly what it was, just a euphoria demo. However, I've noticed (as I'm sure many others have) that a lot of the locations in staff of kings seem to be the locations shown in that euphoria demo of two years ago. Of particular note is the cable car scenes minus the fighting on the roof, which is pretty much certain to be in there.

They don't know, they're making this up as they go.
