Sam & Max dev hiring for Wii
Telltale signs? Apparently not.
Sam & Max developer is hunting around for a Wii programmer. THEY MUST BE MAKING SAM & MAX FOR WII THEN!
Nope, apparently not. At least according to an official post on the forums: "We haven't made any announcements about why we're hiring a Wii developer and we really really haven't said that we're working on a Sam & Max game for the Wii," it said.
The developer has previously said it would like to do something, and even made contact with Nintendo. But it's keeping quiet about how things have progressed in that area.
"If we do [embark on a Sam & Max Wii project], you guys will be the first to hear about it, surrounded by 800 gigantic trumpets and probably some cherubs or something. But as of right now, you're talking crazy talk."

I agree with brooza's enthusiastic comment that it'd be true "point & click" (a nightmare with a standard analogue controller), but I don't see how it'd bring anything to the game.
I've enjoyed the first two episodes (not as much as Hit The Road, though), and I love my Wii (shut it), I just don't think this will be a game I'd be interested in.

I'd much rather play point & click games from my couch...
The interface is perfect...
And you say 'apart from an increased user-base'...
Isn't that what all multi-platform games are about?
I've never seen EA comment on the next FIFA game saying:
"It won't be out out on Xbox360, because other than increasing our user base it doesn't do anything different"

As for EA and sports games: Not really on the same league as action/adventure games.
All EA do is soup up their graphics and the sports zombies buy the games in droves.

If it did happen, i'd already have them all and completed them all on the pc.

Nah, Sam & Max would work absolutely fine with a standard analogue controller, especially if there was an option to just cycle through interactable icons on-screen (let's face it, item hunting isn't supposed to be part of the gameplay). The Wii controller really doesn't add that much over it. I think all in all they'd be better off with XBLA, seems like a better match for the franchise (though both would be even better).

Surely Virtual Console is just as good a place?
