Ninja Gaiden 2 Mission Pack going cheap

Save a third with XBLA Deal of the Week.

Microsoft has cut the price of Ninja Gaiden 2's Mission Mode DLC as this week's XBLA Deal of the Week.

The price for the 24 mission selection has been hammered down from 800 to 500 Microsoft Points. In other words, it now costs GBP 4.25 / EUR 6 instead of GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60.

The pack features 16 'Karma Attack' missions, where Ryu's weapons are maxed out. Players choose a Ninpo and get down and dirty in an arena, taking on enemies to attempt to cultivate massive karma scores. The remaining eight are 'Survival' mode missions, in which the pyjama-clad lunatic is issued with only one melee weapon and left to slug it out with a never-ending stream of foes. It's all about the high-scores, obviously, as anyone who's ever committed mass-murder for karmic gain will tell you.

Well that's not as useful and accessible to all as the Braid reduction. Still, I'm sure that's nice for NGII owners who don't have it, but it's still not as good an offer this week.

So they fixed the bugs in the game? Ain't went back to it since my frozen cutscenes post first patch?

I thought they were cutting actual XBL games every week. This is totally useless to me.

It's all been fixed for ages, yeah. I still wouldn't really recommend this pack though. From what I played round a friend's house it just takes the cheapest bits from the harder settings (i.e, the entirity of Master ninja) then makes them much worse. Stuff like double boss fights were fun in NGB's mission mode but not so much in NG2.

Cheers duff, i seem to have missed the press release saying it'd been re-patched.

I don't really go for this points off selected items - why didn't they just introduce a flat 20% off for gold customers?

Would help if I can finish the bloody game first

/curses whoever thought 'Explosive Shurikens' would be a good idea

Tuffty, use Izuna drops or shadowstep when tagged with explosive shurikens. You're invincible during the actual throw animation during the Izuna drop or during the shadowstep. So if you time it right, the shuriken explodes during said frames. :)
