Ubi drifts onto DS, PSP
Asphalt: Urban GT 2 announced.
Ubisoft has announced the development of a new game in the Asphalt: Urban GT series, which you'll be pleased to hear is coming out on both DS and PSP - although at completely different times.
If you're unfamiliar with Gameloft's racer, which has made an appearance on Nokia's N-gage, mobile phones and the DS in some shape or another, check out Tom's "glowing" review of the first game to get an idea of what to expect.
Hopefully, the developers will have taken a little time to perfect some of the more irksome issues with the game, rather than focusing solely on the plethora of new gameplay modes and vehicles for the sequel.
Speaking of which, expect six gameplay modes, lots of opportunities for tuning, 30 tracks and 36 licensed cars and bikes. Oh, and lots of music from silky-domed singing sensation, Moby. Hurrah.
Described by Ubisoft as "the most feature-rich racing game available for handhelds," Asphalt: Urban GT 2 will be released on Nintendo DS in November 2006, followed by an appearance on the PSP in March 2007. Zoom, zoom and all that.
