New Burning Crusade info
Say hello to Hellfire Citadel.
Blizzard has revealed new details of the Hellfire Citadel, an instance in forthcoming World of Warcraft expansion The Burning Crusade.
Located in the Outlands zone, the citadel served as the Horde's base during the First and Second Wars, after which it remained abandoned - until recently.
Bands of fel orcs have now moved in, and they're growing in number. It's not known who they're working for, though word is it isn't the Burning Legion.
Perhaps most worryingly, "thunderous, savage cries" are echoing from deep beneath the citadel. Are these outbursts somehow linked to the fel orcs and their increasing numbers? Who knows... Well, Blizzard, obviously, but they're not telling.
Nor will they reveal the release date for The Burning Crusade, unfortunately - but we'll keep you posted.

However, their new-found angle on endless grinding has me concerned... not only are the only people who'll be in on this beta have demonstrated they have nothing even remotely resembling a life, but the AQ grinding and now the Cenarion epics quests (which involve - guess what? MORE GRINDING!) have me very worried about the direction Blizzard are moving with end-game content.
The new dungeon sounds sublime, there will also be a new one apparantly up in Winterspring. You can see the instance entry but it is currently barred... that looks very interesting. Here's hoping for more variety in the expansions content than I've seen in-game recently...

Personally, I'm just looking forward to leveling up to 70 and then soloing Molten Core.

But I just wish they'd stop with this grinding/collecting shit. I've not got ten hours a day to put into the damn game (though insomnia bouts do kinda give you those extra few hours) and I'm not going to spend half my in-game time stuck in what I think is, so far, the worst instance in the game - love the open areas of AQ but it's bosses so far border on the absurd...
edit: I don't think we'll ever be soloing Molten Core... but I do look forward to ten-manning it...
