All five caps in for Legacy

Not just Shatner.

With William Shatner having blown the lid on the old-days Trek captain's involvement in Star Trek: Legacy, Bethesda Softworks has now revealed that all five of the series' captains will actually be involved.

Shatner will be joined in the voice-booth by Patrick Stewart (no stranger to games himself - most recently as the first voice you hear in The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion), Scott Bakula, Avery Brooks and Kate Mulgrew, and all had nice things to say about Bethesda.

Well, we assume they did, but the quotes, once again, came courtesy of Shatner, who said he was "delighted to have the chance to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Trek with my fellow captains".

Legacy, as you ought to know by now, is due out on PC and Xbox 360 later this year.

Any game with Patrick Stewart in is a winner.

Wow! This game could really be special! :D

They could've saved some money by leaving Kate Mulgrew out and just recording someone scratching their fingernails down a blackboard instead.

Legacy? Is that the one featuring the dull-as-dishwater space battles you had videos of a couple of weeks back or am I thinking of the wrong tie-in?

Lets just hope they didnt blow their ENTIRE budget on actors and had some left over for the development of the game.

Scott Bakula? Why waste money on him?

oi!! There's nowt wrong with mr quantum leap.

You wouldn't have to pay money for Kate Mulgrew...she's done nowt in the last 5 years, so she probably did it for free. Don't insult Scott Bakula though, he's a dude. Patrick Stewart being a AAA Hollywood actor now must have cost a bit though.

Pretty sure I sure Kate Mulgrew in one of those terrible soft porn programs ala the red shoe diaries once. This was before her Star Trek days. Of course it could have been a dream though why I would dream about Kate Mulgrew and not Jeri Ryan I don't know.

They need Jeri Ryan or Alice Krige since you can play as the Borg, can't you? Or is that the other ST game that Bethesda are making?

Anyway, send Jeri Ryan to my gmail account please Bethesda.

And you can all take your personal opinions and shove them. Kate Mulgrew and Scott Bakula are both excellent captains, better.....than.....Shatner.....any....way.

Better than Shatner!!!! Does not compute.

I thought the reason Mulgrew was not busy, was down to her supporting her senator husband...

I'm sure we can all agree that Robert Picardo is the best actor in Star Trek history.

Shatner is a legend, but Kirk was a bit crap.

I have to say, I liked Captain Janeway... good role, you knew who wore the pants around those parts. Most of the women in Voyager were rather hot. Though in all honesty, I'd much prefer Jeri Ryan's voice talent... mmm, yes, ol' Seven of Nine has a queue of men lined up for her to assimilate...

Frankly, Shatner is twice as interesting as Denny Crane in Boston Legal than he ever was as an Enterprise captain.

Alan Shore: [referring to a book about parasites found on salmon] This book, "A Stain Upon The Sea" it's all about these sea lice.
    Denny Crane: Interesting.
Alan Shore: They call them cling ons.
Denny Crane: Did you say Klingons?

Anyway you could cover the Borg angle by having Picard turn into Locutus.

Scott Baluka should do a Quantum Leap game. Trapped in the past, Doctor Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life, putting things right, that once went wrong and hoping each time, that his next leap will be the leap home.
