First PGR3 download revealed

It'll set you back 400 MS points.

A teaser trailer on the official Project Gotham 3 tournament website has revealed details of the first downloadable content for the game.

The new 'Speedpack' will cost you 400 Microsoft points - which is £3.40 in the old money. That'll buy you 12 brand new cars, along with "hot new gameplay enhancements."

Microsoft has yet to announce a release date for the Speedpack, but we'll keep you posted.

Hey, MS, how about doing PGR for your OTHER preferred platform - i.e. Windows?
  • rhinoxious #3 6 years ago

    just new cars . . . \yawns
  • bauhaus #4 6 years ago

  • TipTop #5 6 years ago

That's good value imho. Especially if they are 'Elven armoured cars'! I haven't touched PGR3 in a while so it'll envigorate my PGR racing again.
  • Helios #6 6 years ago

Meh. Theres already a viper, and a saleen in the game. And all RUFs look the same probably. Since they are modded porches or something.
  • Furbs #7 6 years ago

Not bad. Shame new tracks though. I'll probably pass and thus be able to hold my head high in the "I wont pay for DLC" stakes.

Until Ubi do it at least :/

  • Darkedge #9 6 years ago

  • Retroid #10 6 years ago

/Was hoping for a Long Beach / Paris PGR2-style thingy

    :(
  • gamingdave #11 6 years ago

Do you only get the new mode if you purchase the pack, or is it a standard upgrade?
  • I_Have_The_Power #12 6 years ago

Y'know, I really think Microsoft should unite the world, and we could all use 'Microsoft points' as real currency... :)
  • DrDamn #13 6 years ago

That new mode is a bit of a poor thing to charge for. It is severely limited in it's appeal surely as most people won't have a chance of getting in the top 64.

That's almost certainly going to be in the free auto-update, that you won't have to pay for.

You're only paying for the new cars in this pack. The "gameplay enhancements" will be free elsewhere, as everyone will have to download them to participate in any online races. There's stuff like a "no HUD" view and actually being able to see the names of the people talking on LIVE.

I dont know why im against this, but yet im "for" episodic content like hl2 and bone.

But I am against this. I wish i knew why so i could argue the toss, but it just seems WRONG to me.
  • Furbs #21 6 years ago

Episodic content is one thing. New vehicles are another :(
  • bloodflowers #22 6 years ago

    mmmooooooo!
    mmooooooooooo!

No, don't think so. Traded mine in just today against the new Tomb Raider, as I hadn't been playing it since launch week.
  • jellyhead #23 6 years ago

Do the cars actually do anything and can you see them from all viewpoints and perspectives? ;)
  • TripSkyway #24 6 years ago

    Sounds a bit steep.

Hey, MS, how about doing PGR for your OTHER preferred platform - i.e. Windows?

but that would subtract PERCEIVED VALUE of their KEY SKU, especially within their PRIORITY DEMOGRAPHIC.
  • WestBullet #28 6 years ago

    Regarding PGR on windows -

I wouldn't be at all surprised you know. MS seems to be doing all they can to remove value from the 360. Tne truth is that there are few games that are 360 ONLY that are worth playing - an even worse situation than the original xbox.

    Oblivion - on PC
    Condemned - on PC soon.
Halo 2 - coming to PC
Fable - on PC and the sequel will surely come to PC.

So a Windows Vista version of PGR3 is not so far fetched you know and i'd say there is more chance than not.

  • DrDamn #29 6 years ago

Not sure how you make out that is an even "worse" situation when either is not bad at all. How is it bad for XBox gamers that a game also comes to PC exactly?
  • st3ph3n #30 6 years ago

    What happened to PGR100?
  • pac666 #31 6 years ago

I'll pay for new tracks, but nothing else. I'll leave this one on the shelf.
  • Sunrise #32 6 years ago

Why cant they fix the 'can not communicate with all players' bug first...

BC say its not their problem but PGR2 and PGR3 are the only games it happens in...
