Fullmetal Alchemist for PSP in summer
Handheld Brotherhood.
Namco Bandai has announced that Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood will be released for PSP in Europe this summer.
As surely everyone knows, Brotherhood follows the Elric brothers, two alchemists cursed after trying to bring their mum back from the dead.
They face a battle-packed adventure on the trail of the philosopher's stone, which can restore the damage they incurred.
Apparently there will be other customisable player characters beyond Edward and Alphonse Elric, but I'm afraid that's about as far into the world of "research" as our feigned enthusiasm will stretch.
The game seems to have come out in Japan last October. Check out screenshots elsewhere on Eurogamer.net.

Anyone recommend any (dare I say it) adult orientated (there, I said it) anime?
I am half way through Death Note (which I found a little dull to be honest). Quite liked Elfen Lied, Gantz etc. (and oldies like Ninja Scroll).

I have heard good things about Paranoia Agent. Only 13 eps. Can't personally speak to its quality on account of having not seen it. How far exactly did you make it in Death Note? Really can't see where a dull judgement is coming from. In terms of non-anime, are you a Dexter fan?

Erm.... The original had a couple of full DVD releases and several runs on TV (ok, a really minor niche channel, but still).
Manga are also going to be releasing the new series in due course as well.

amazing series imo, but i guess i should point out that brotherhood is retelling the whole story from the start, without deviating from the manga like before (anime production outpaced manga, so the anime guys wrote their own episodes and ending)
game could be good, but i doubt it... FMA isn't the type of series that would translate well to a game, there wasn't all that much fighting, and an rpg story retelling would be redundant

To be honest I like a bit more Sci-fi, fantasy etc in my anime so that is probably why I am not so keen on Death Note which is more of a thriller (if I would put it in any genre).
I do however like Dexter... weird eh.

Kemonozune is a great samurai/horror/fantasy anime too, a very original style by Studio 4c too - and whilst I'm mentioning it, one of my favourite (non-ghibli) anime films is from them too, Mind Game - which is phenomenal.
Another great sci fi anime which shouldn;t be missed is, Gunbuster I and II. The series' are 20 years apart in production, but both are sublime.
Bloody hell, that's just what springs to mind, the list could go on and on. I recommend checking out top 100 lists and going through it from the top, that's what I normally do.

And finally, for a fucked up, cerebral, cute, and slightly disturbing anime - Kaiba is a no brainer, also intensely original.
I'm gonna shut up now, as I stated before, I could go on forever!

Completely with you on Gurren Lagann, I finally finished it two days ago and it's one of the coolest anime series I've ever seen.
Agreed though that it's sort of odd that they release these games when the anime aren't particularly available in the UK from /ahem official sources. When you stop to think about it this means that there pretty much wouldn't be a market for anime related products at all here if it weren't for piracy, which pretty much turns conventional logic regarding piracy on its head.

Thanks for that. They all sound pretty cool.
I'll certainly be checking out some of them.
