DLC/add-on golden era seems to be having a dodgy patch

No, it's simply fixing the game to make it about as interesting as real football.

When it works UT is great fun, unfortunately it doesn't work weekends or evenings when the servers are busy, so great for the unemployed/students or those like me who work from home so can play all day and work all night ;)

Yup, I've played the same game 5 times now, winning each time and I'm not getting any further in the cup. It's irritating but I can see how it'll be fun in the long run once they've fixed it. I'll give it another couple of weeks and then start complaining directly. I know they say "online experiences may vary" but this is taking it a little too far.

here's the response i recieved from EA when I complained:


Thank you for contacting EA Technical Support. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties, and apologize for any inconvenience.

Sometimes certain configurations can conflict with your game. Set any controller, sound, and video settings to their default setting. This can be done deleting the game's settings information from the hard drive. Try playing the game again.

This could also be an issue involving corrupt game save files. You will need to remove game related save data by following the below given steps.

1. Power on the Xbox without a game disc inside to display the Xbox dashboard.
2. Select Memory and press A
3. Select Hard Disc and press A
4. Scroll through the save games until you find your specific game.
5. Press the A button while selecting a files to delete them.
6. Confirm deletion when prompted.
7. Repeat until you no longer see any of the game files left on the Xbox hard disc.
8. Restart system with game inside. Try running your game again.

This issue can also be due to any NON-OFFICIAL Peripherals connected to your console. Please unplug all non-official peripherals connected to your console. The easiest way to ensure this is to unplug any peripherals except for the official licensed controllers that came with the system. This includes any memory cards or network adaptors. When the console is starting up it will calibrate the controllers. Do not move the thumb sticks or press any of the buttons until the EA logo appears.

Example of non-licensed equipment manufacturers: Nyko AirFlow, MadCatz MicroCon, Mad Catz Dual Force 2.

If the issue persists, try clearing console cache, follow these steps:

1. Locate the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard.
2. Select Memory, select Hard Drive, and then press Y to view the device options screen.
3. On the Controller, press the X, Left Bumper, and Right Bumper buttons in this order: X, X, LB, RB, X, X
4. You will be prompted to confirm system maintenance, select Yes by pressing A.

Seems like they're denying any problem on their part!

I earned 15,000 by buying badges/kits for 150 and then putting them into my collection, I then bought my first gold pack, got Torres in it and sold him within hours for 50,750 :)

It is a great add-on for a great game. It's just a shame that it's got so many faults in it that ruin the experience. I hope that EA are sorting it out, as people have spent a lot of money buying it and expect to be paying for something that works properly!

My five month old Manager Mode game save, where i'd invested 40+ hours of gameplay was fucked upon installing ultimate team. I am rather, rather unhappy.

I've had little to no problems whenever I've played this ever since the first day where it was terrible.

sort out the gold packs! gold should not consist of half silver and half gold.

I dunno what to say other than it's been pretty much fine for me and I'm really enjoying it. Sorry to hear it's not been plain sailing for others.
