Everybody's Tennis PSP this summer

Demo on Store around launch.

Sony has announced that Everybody's Tennis will be released for PSP this summer.

Like the Everybody's Golf titles, Clap Hanz' effort allows you to customise your character with unlockable items. On the gameplay side it sounds quite simple but promises an advanced shot system.

Sony has said to expect a demo version on the PlayStation Store around launch.

Check out our Everybody's Tennis PSP screenshot gallery to see how it looks, or check out the trailer below.

Oh, and if the name rings a bell, cast your mind (and your web browser) back a couple of years and you'll find our Everybody's Tennis review for PS2 has lots of details on the sort of thing to expect.

    This was surprisingly good on the PS2.... here's hoping it's more than just a port though!

    Nice, I really like Everybody's Golf so this might go down well. I did enjoy the transition from Mario Golf to Tennis, but the Golf games have vanished and the Tennis got a bit silly. This might not be too bad as a replacement.

    Ah, there was a PSP Go at the end of the trailer. That's quite promising actually.

    WOooo. I have to say the Japanese demo left me slightly underwhelmed but I am hoping that character development will play a big part in shot angles etc.

    2 + 2 = Looking for a PS3 Move version! In fact PS3 move version of Everybodys Golf World Tour too please. Everybodys Golf World Tour on PS3 is one of it's hidden gems.

    @DrDamn Never mind Hidden Gem, it's the only multiplayer game I play as it's the only one not full of idiots and people are actually supportive of each other!

    If the guys who make Everybody's Golf switch to move and natal I'll quit gaming for good I reckon. Why mess with the most sublime golf game ever just for the sake of change?

    Yeah I'd rather avoid a switch to motion controls for this. I'd rather stick to precision than go with my own approximation of playing tennis and golf.

    Everybody's Golf World Tour is one of the few games I want to get a PS3 for. Been keeping an eye out for a cheap copy but they aren't all that abundant.

    @Earl_G
    I loved the very Japanese implementation of online on EG - great way to finish off a night of more frantic gaming.

    @jonsaan
    I suspect they will remain PS only as I think Clap Hanz may be Sony owned. As with EG:WT I would expect any new control method would be supplemented with the option to use the older method.
