DiCaprio to star in Atari biopic

Film to tell story of Nolan Bushnell.

Leonardo DiCaprio has signed up to star in a new film about the history of Atari, according to Variety.

The film will tell the story of Nolan Bushnell, who co-founded the company with Ted Dabney in 1972. Our extensive research on wikipedia reveals Warner bought the company for USD 28 million in 1977, and Bushnell was forced out a year later following a dispute over software strategy and the future of the Atari 2600.

Apparently this isn't the first time a film company has approached Bushnell about telling his story. However, he's never felt anyone could do him justice until now. The movie is being made by Paramount Pictures and the script will be written by Brian Hecker and Craig Sherman. There's no word on a release date as yet.
