Combat Arms beta goes live

We still have a few keys.

Nexon has opened servers for the European closed beta of its free-to-play PC online FPS, Combat Arms.

If you claimed a key from our giveaway over the weekend and downloaded the game, you can now head online to try out Combat Arms' mix of fast-paced, competitive FPS gameplay and MMO character customisation and levelling.

If you didn't, you still can; we have a few keys remaining. Just head over to the giveaway page and claim your spot on the Combat Arms beta. You can download the game and sign up for an account at the European Combat Arms site.

We'll be heading online ourselves shortly, and updating you with our own impressions of the game in the coming days, so stay tuned.

    2569 keys left as I type! And that's since last week, so get them while you can, quick! Or just take your time.

    I wish I wasn't working, this looks quite good.

    So when i finish work and get home, should i try this or carry on with Fable 2?
    I suppose it could be nice to use my pc for games again :s

    Well I've been playing it for about and hour and it's quite good it runs smooth on my comp, but that's because the graphics are far from stellar even bf2 would give it a run for it's money in the graphics department. However the weapons are lethal, the hit detections good and the 3 second invulnerability when you spawn is a nice touch. Being able to shoot mines on the ground to explode them was a good idea as well.

    I'm having fun playing it so I would say it's worth giving a go.

    I got a key last week and only getting around to downloading the client .... first thing first, why is the name so generic?? Took me ages to find beta I had a key for!!

    ok i would just like to say this is the worst looking game i've ever played. and the gameplay is like a bad counter-strike clone. i guess that's to be expected with a free game, oh well.
