Blue Toad is very good. I bagged the first 2 episides together, and then downloaded ep3 for free.

It won't rock your gaming world, but its definitely good fun for roping in non-gamers for a bit of comedic puzzling.

I got the first two eps and its fun but totally stuck at the series of doors puzzle as there was no subtitles available within puzzles and thus at a dead end!

Was loving the game up to that point then that it for me as now got no reason to see it through to the final episode.

    Yay, new Zen Pinball table.

    Love that game.

I don't understand though why they have a Joker DLC for the original and GOTY editions, but Crime Alley and the Villian map seems suitable for both.

Should note that there is a reduction on DLC for Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic Unleashed until late April. No doubt related to Sonic costumes for LBP. £1.19 I believe for some of the Unleashed ones.

EG - my services are available for hire ;)

I bought the LBP Sonic pack. I then wasted an entire evening using the included stickers (artwork from EVERY Sonic 1 Zone!!!!) trying to recreate the entire game......

    I haven't got very far. -_-

Thats great, I was thinking of getting Blue Toad. My wallet is very light at the moment so I'll have to wait to get paid - is this a limited time offer?
  • LittleMissTidy #7 2 years ago

@Paulie_P The blue toad offer (3 episodes for £9.99) isn't time limited :)

The Sonic pack came out months ago... It's like Sega queued up again right away to pleeeeease sir get some more.

Cute and pathetic. Because the Sonic pack trailer is actually lying, speeding up an otherwise lunar action.

Was seriously dissapointed with Blue Toad. Stuck it on at Xmas with hope of entertaining Mum (big Layton fan) and my other half... It was lame lame lame... not challenging, not funny... and frankly a tad embarrasing... It very much damaged my ongoing battle to persuade them gaming is good for us grown ups. The EG review was way too kind IMHO.

    @j3mSpur
seconded, layton comes across as charming and intelligent, whereas blue toad comes across as a little childish and intelligent(in terms of parody). There is little attempt to integrate puzzles into gameplay, and i use that term "gameplay" loosely, layton also has this issue but to a slightly lesser extent. Twelve puzzles for £6.99(at the time) was questionable value also. in layton it at least felt like you were traversing a game world and with a decent story to boot, BT doesnt seem to offer anything above the mystery of the murders. EG were too kind to this title alright. I dont know whether i can be bothered with the remaining 3 episodes. I'm so desparate for adventure puzzlers i might bite anyway, I'll see.

Think that's AFL Challenge, not AFI.

Australian Football League, not Australian Film Institute
