"Big" Ubisoft announcement this week News

Ubisoft's gearing up for a headline-grabbing announcement this week.

Company community bods Aymeric Evennou and Kimi Matsuzaki both Tweeted in preparation.

"I'd only say: 'Big announcement coming up next week,' and I mean BIG," said Evennou on Friday.

"TGIF all! Looking forward to a Big announcement coming up next week," added Matsuzaki.

Evennou is based in Paris, but Matsuzaki is based in the US, in Raleigh, North Carolina - the home of Sinister Games. The latter has been consolidated with Ubisoft's Red Storm studio - the developer responsible for many of the Ghost Recon games.

Red Storm recently made America's Army: True Soldiers and the multiplayer for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 and 2.

Are we about to see a new Ghost Recon? We'll keep our eyes peeled.

Mark My words I have a man on the inside UBI are venturing into the Football market. There gonna release a game later this year. You heard it here first people. I have asked about licenses etc but it will all come to light this week.

Hopefully. Would love a new GRAW, especially for the online co-op missions. Actual co-op is needed and you end up chatting to people you'll probably ending up adding to your FL, rather than say, anyone on MW2.
Or will it turn into a cod copy?

Not really interested in a big Ubisoft announcement unless it involves the words "beyond", "good" and "evil". And I don't mean "This time, the Ghosts go beyond the call of duty in an epic struggle between good and evil". :p

Well unless Beyond Good and Evil 2 is taking one hell of a new direction I'm guess its going to be the next Ghost Recon game which would be nice. Always enjoyed the Ghost recon games some great set piece moments in the 2nd one. That part in the square when your protecting the president was my fave I thing or was it the EMP one hmm need to get that game again made myself want to play it.

More Rainbow Six, but properly, not the arcadey (but somewhat enjoyable) Vegas ones.

I really loved the original (and rogue spear) in the old days, with two or four of you via LAN controlling the team.

Oh Zoidberg, I know what you mean. I think Raven Shield was the best one of the series, it was great in multiplayer. Except the "Training" level, AKA "grenade spam".

Hopefully a Ghost Recon like the very first one. Best tactical shooter I've played on a console. Shame the latest ones haven't lived up to it so far imo although they look prettier and have still been ok.

A "Big" announcement to me would mean Assassins Creed 3. A new GRAW or Rainbow Six would be nice but I would hardly call that a "Big" announcement.
