Bethesda doing more Fallout 3 DLC
Supporting PS3, doing retail bundles.
Bethesda has unveiled two more Fallout 3 downloadable add-ons, one called Point Lookout (unsurprisingly) and the other called Mothership Zeta.
The first arrives late June and opens a big swamp to explore, but the latter, oh the latter, has us experience an alien abduction first-hand and discover whether we're tough enough to survive! Mothership Zeta arrives late July, and both are 800 MSP.
Bethesda also plans to offer all DLC on PS3. This will start with Operation: Anchorage in June and be followed by The Pitt and Broken Steel later. They'll be about a month or six-weeks apart - exact dates are TBC.
Finally, Bethesda revealed the not-so-secret DLC retail bundles. The first Fallout 3 add-on pack bundles Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt, and will be available on 12th June. The second pack has Broken Steel and Point Lookout and arrives in August.
There's also a Game of the Year Edition arriving in October for all three formats. This includes the original game plus all five DLC add-ons and costs 40 quid on consoles or 30 quid on PC.

5 packs at 800 points each means I could pay £34 for DLC, too expensive!
Broken Steel was worth the money, but I've not bothered with the other 2.

Is there a modding community for Fallout 3 of the quality there was for Oblivion? I need to know so i know whether to buy the PC or X360 version.

I really hope they raise the level cap again; 30 is too low for all this DLC!!

Might be the first non Nintendo game i'll buy twice, would rather wait for the GOTY edition to save the space (not short on it with a 320 HD but would always take a disc over d/l everytime)

Still, good news for PS3 owners indeed. This game should be available to EVERYONE!

And to top this announcement off with a bang Ps3 sold less copies so? Your wasting your time Bethesda

Now Rockstar, deliver us your GTA content and it'll be one good summer!

Also, it's nice to see the PS3 owners getting the DLC.

Well by the time I finished Broken Steel and The Pitt I was on Level 28, possibly because I stuck the game on hard when I did the Broken Steel quests. The last two levels didn't take me long to reach either, just go and clean out a few Super Mutant infested areas and give the blood samples to Paladin Tristin.

Now if they patched trophes into Oblivion and fixed the vampirism bug, I might go through that again.

Was also a little jealous of you 360 owners that got all the DLC & was always hoping this would come to fruition. My favourite game of last year by a mile & one of my all-time favourites too.

Fanboys normally don't care much about material being released months later on another system. Even they've moved on by now.

Intrigued by the new DLC, and hey FIVE serious DLC is a lot more than what was available for Oblivion what with Knights of the Nine and Shivering Island. Still nothing would compares to the freaking sizeable Shivering Island addition and which was responsible for my first and only X360 RROD to date!

and as read above yes bethesda please patch Oblivion with trophies and fix that darn Vampirism glitch.

Hopefully these will be as good as Broken Steel, which I ain't even finished yet.
And more level cap increase please - and better and more imaginative perks than Broken Steel (Karma re-alignment/all schematic - GTFO!?!).

Probably going to wait to the GOTY editon... question is if I should trade in the normal edition now and put it towards another game in the mean time... decisions decisions.

Looking forward to the new content. Good job Bethesda! Also as others have said increasing the cap even further would be nice.

I guess we'll be seeing GTA DLC soon also....?
Microsoft seem to be in trouble this year. Lets hope that the "magic wand" E3 announcement isnt true.

Er... that would be capitalism. I thought it was common knowledge that the DLC was always gonna be released for the PS3 eventually...

lol.
"I thought it was common knowledge that the DLC was always gonna be released for the PS3 eventually..."
For people that have followed the video game industry for the past couple of years, this shouldn't come as a surprise, true. But if you (or anyone else) had made that statement before this news (as I have in the past) you would be attacked by the MS faithful as a sort of conspiracy theorist.
The problem with unconfirmed ‘public knowledge’ is that it always leads to a yes/no debate and desperate claims for quoting a source. Using common sense isn’t really valued on gaming website debates…
