Alan Wake to resurface this week
Plus: New trailer for Max Payne premiere.
Psychological thriller Alan Wake may be shown off in a new trailer at the Finnish premiere of the Max Payne film on 15th October.
That's according to Finnish site Pelaaja which, according to a VG247 source, is not telling porky pies. Not only that, but Pelaaja is also said to have fresh Alan Wake information due for publication on Friday.
Alan Wake, a console exclusive for Xbox 360 (oh and PC), withdrew from the public eye after a glorious unveiling at E3 2005. The game once carried a release date of "sometime in 2007".
We feared the worst, but Finnish developer Remedy Entertainment popped up recently to assure us everything is fine; it's just been a bit trickier than first expected.

Also, I've heard rumours (can't remember from where) about Max Payne 3. That would also tickle my fancy. Tickle it hard.

But anyway, this looks great and I hope the finished game is good.

I'm guessing the angel things in the trailers are valkyr-driven hallucinations.

I'd leave the film alone until you get a chance to see it. As for Alan Wake, I love Max Payne to death (top 2 or 3 games of all time) and I think AW looked wonderful all those years ago. Remedy's never made anything less than great, so I'm very optimistic.
