Fondly-remembered neon masterpiece Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will be released for iPhone, iPad and Android devices later this autumn, Rockstar has revealed.
The game's 10th Anniversary Edition will include high-resolution graphics and other "enhancements", a post on the Rockstar blog announced.
The full list of new features has yet to be detailed, but its likely similar to the tweaks added in last year's so-so Grand Theft Auto 3 10th Anniversary Edition, the touch-screen controls of which failed to impress.
"You can run GTA3 on your phone, but you can't really play it," Dan Whitehead wrote in Eurogamer's 5/10 Grand Theft Auto 3: 10 Year Anniversary Edition review. "You can run around and drive cars, but any attempt to do anything more nuanced only ends in frustration.
"It's just about playable enough to make it worth a download, if only to see how it looks. However, few would argue that this is the best way to experience a genuine classic."
Vice City originally launched 10 years ago next week, on 29th October 2002. Its UK release followed 10 days later.
Lest we forget, there's another Grand Theft Auto game in the works as well. Rockstar has said it will announce more about that soon, too.
