Battlefield: Aftershock pulled from App Store
EA "re-evaluating" game after negative customer reviews.
EA has pulled iOS franchise spin-off Battlefield: Aftershock from the App Store after the game attracted a flurry of negative user reviews.
As reported by IGN, customers had complained about the game's controls, frequent crashes, terrible lag and difficulties with online matchmaking. Its average rating was 2.5 stars out of 5.
The free app disappeared from the store earlier today, with the publisher subsequently issuing the following statement:
"EA Mobile is committed to delivering mobile entertainment experiences that are on par with the content and quality users have come toexpect from their favorite EA gaming brands.
"To this end, we have decided to remove Battlefield 3: Aftershock from the App Store and are currently re-evaluating the app in response to the consumer feedback we've received. We thank all the fans who have downloaded the game to date."
A more comprehensive iOS take on the Battlefield franchise is apparently set to replace it later this year.
