Kojima too busy to make Snatcher sequel
But happy to let someone else have a go.
Pining for a sequel to Hideo Kojima's cyberpunk detective adventure Snatcher? Tough – the veteran designer has far too much on his plate.
The Metal Gear Solid creator told the PlayStation Blog that he currently doesn't have time to revisit the IP, however, he would be happy for another developer to take it on.
"This idea of an open world in 3D is very good, and I would love to do something like Snatcher, but I do not have the time or the means to do so. But if anyone else would like to develop it, I would love it," he explained.
The graphic adventure first came out on the NEC PC-8801 and MSX 2 back in 1988, before being ported to the Mega-CD, Sega Saturn and PSone in the mid '90s.
For the time being at least, it seems Snatcher fans will have to make do with Sdatcher - a radio drama being put together by games industry weirdo Suda51.

Fred, Fred, Fred...
You had it almost right until you failed to mention the seminal PC Engine version, on which all the later ports (Mega CD, etc) are based. The PC Engine version was released in 1992 and is the last one Kojima directly worked on.
Facts, Fred. Facts.
