My dad would love this although I don't think I could convince him to set up a Steam account and he doesn't run Windows. I see in the FAQ that they aim to eventually bring it to mobile after focusing on the PC version so hopefully there will be an iOS release.

Report sheds light on Destiny's troubled development

anyjungleinguy

Great read.

Glad I didn't throw away any money on the DLC. Never going to pay more money to make up for the lacklustre offering in the main game. Coupled with how I read that article on how they focused on addiction rather than fun (here) I won't ever be picking anything Destiny related up in the future. I like playing games because I enjoy and want to play them, not playing games because I feel I have to play them.

It was my first Bungie game and probably my last Bungie game.

I'm interested in this because I've never played them... but I've never played the first Borderlands either. Why did they leave that one out?

"It's actually pretty funny," Gibson said, "as we asked around to people that play a lot of shooters if the shooters they were playing on console had aiming assists, many thought they did not. When we looked at the games however we found every single one of them did have some form of aiming assists. In other words, many console gamers had no idea that they were getting assists from the game."

They should have looked at Killzone: Shadow Fall, which doesn't, and controls beautifully.

Shivering Isles for Oblivion. In a game were you can sink hundreds of hours and think you've seen it all, Shivering Isles brought something else to the table. In addition to the wealth of non narrative content, like the frighteningly creative landscapes, locations and items, the main quest itself is without doubt the most memorable that I've played from the Elder Scrolls series and Sheogorath as a character definitively the most imaginative.

The Witcher 3: The Skyrim debate, the game on PS4, nuggets of clarification and a whiff of multiplayer

anyjungleinguy

If I get a PS4, I would definitely want to pick this up...but the lack of a Witcher 2 puts me off. After all, these games are praised for their story telling and character development, right?

How could they expect PS players to jump in to the third instalment with no backstory, or a feel for the character that they're playing?

I can see everyone mentioning Bulbapedia.

A great way of accessing Bulbapedia (and UESP for Elder Scrolls) on iOS devices is to use the Wikipanion app.

It's primarily for Wikipedia but it has a great feature that let's you add your own wikis and formats them nicely. It's really useful!

@Gamer107

I have a PC that can run this on high and will try it one day, but I am not a pc gamer, I tried to play Mass Effect 3 on PC and within 30 minutes my fingers cramped up using the mouse to aim and shoot, I much prefer the dual shock to game on.

You can play Far Cry 3 on the PC with a 360 controller attached. Quite a few PC games support this, not just games that are GFWL.

In fact, you can even use Motionjoy to use your PS3 controller instead. It's pretty useful, if a little buggy.

I know what you mean though, if the game doesn't support controllers, playing on the PC can take some getting used to. For me, the solid frame rates and better overall quality help swing it.
