There's still no Payday: The Heist on the European PlayStation Store. But Sony offered a few words about the game's continued absence.
"We are close to being able to confirm the release date of Payday: The Heist and are just waiting for Sony Online Entertainment to provide 100 per cent confirmation, which we hope will be with us later today," wrote EU PlayStation blog manager James Gallagher. "Sony Europe and SOE are working hard to get the game in your hands as soon as possible; thank you for your patience."
The content that is available this week relates to Halloween, which happens on Monday, 31st October. There's a sale, which includes a half-price deal on the Prince of Persia trilogy, plus extra discounts for members of PlayStation Plus.
PlayStation Network game PixelJunk SideScroller launches on 26th October in Europe, Q-Games has announced.
"I really can't emphasise enough how really, really good old school fun SideScroller has turned out to be," president and executive producer Dylan Cuthbert wrote on the EU PlayStation Blog.
PixelJunk SideScroller is a single-stick controller game based on the Road to Dawn bonus stage in PixelJunk Shooter 2. As a result, you can only face to the right as you control your craft.
Sony has announced Only On PSN, a new campaign to promote PlayStation Network exclusive games throughout October.
At least one exclusive PSN title will be released each week throughout the month, starting this Wednesday with Rochard.
In the US, the confirmed line-up is Eufloria and Rochard for this week and Sideway: New York for next.
Further sequels to any of Q-Games' acclaimed PixelJunk titles are unlikely, studio founder Dylan Cuthbert has told Eurogamer.
Cuthbert explained that, aside from a social networking Monsters spin-off, Q plans to focus on more original games in the near future.
"We get a lot of calls to do an Eden sequel and people also say they want more Monsters. We're actually doing a social network version of Monsters. Probably Facebook. It's a hell of a lot of fun," he explained.
Sony has announced that a new instalment in Q-Games' PixelJunk series is on the way.
