Dead to Rights Retribution dated

Doggy treat or dog's dinner? Find out soon.

Namco Bandai Partners has sent word that Dead to Rights: Retribution will be released on 23rd April on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Retribution - a 'new beginning' rather than sequel to 2003's Dead to Rights - follows policeman Jack Slate and dog Shadow as they take down the crime world.

Despite the K-9-like premise, Retribution will be gory, gritty and dark. There's doggy stealth and third-person action, and an emphasis on plain old-fashioned fun.

We popped Dead to Rights: Retribution on the table in December for a closer examination.
