  i bought my girlfriend's brother a ps3 so that he can play all my games. they're not losing sales,as he wouldn't have bought the games on his own. i wouldn't have bought him the ps3 if i had to buy every game twice. i also sometimes buy games that i wouldn't buy if it was just me playing,so they actually get extra sales. if this changes next round, i won't be buying 2 ps4's,but with this reveal i definitely won't be switching to the xbox.   i agree,but might they not try use it as a loophole,saying that re-downloading is included in the original purchase,and subsequent owners have to pay again for downloads,just like they have to pay for online passes when they buy used games? Reply 0

  when you sell your physical copy of a game,it doesn't cost the publisher anything,but they could argue that it costs them to have you re-download it from their website.what's to stop them from charging a 'download fee' for re-downloading software? they could say that the first download is included in the original purchase price,but subsequent downloads need to be paid for.   when i downloaded god of war 1 & 2 hd collection,it took 10 days of continuous downloading,& that was only 18GB.now i'm using a 3g dongle,at around $17 per GB.please keep optical drives,i'll pay extra for a console with it! Reply +5

  i've got rayman origins,wipeout 2048,uncharted:golden abyss,little deviants,lumines electronic symphony,touch my katamati,unit 13,army corps of hell & dungeon hunter alliance as physical games,plus a bunch of stuff off the store,i'm ok for games,but really looking forward to resistance & gravity rush.
