Ubisoft suspends development on Patrice Désilets' 1666 "for an undisclosed time"
What i do hope though is that if he does not get the ip back that maybe it can encourage him to try start an indie project with a small team, at least then it can get some of his own game ideas out there and it not so big budget. Reply +1
Tomb Raider has sold 3.4 million copies, failed to hit expectations
I think at moment this is a industry wide problem not just a square enix problem. Reply +7

Resident Evil 6 "lost its momentum, resulting in the failure to achieve planned sales"
I like the puzzle stuff the old resident evil games had.
The pacing was the biggest thing that caught my attention about resident evil 6 and even had same issue in revelation right at the end of the game when they escaping that base area.
some of the combat was so fast it was like they trying to turn game into call of duty or some other fast action game.
When you compare the pacing of the game to resident evil 4 which was a massive change from 2,3 and cv then you will see what i mean.
The next resident evil could maybe in my view gain something from going to a slow pace horror vibe, sure it does not have to be scary but look at what uncharted did to that genre which is kinda like tomb raider but now tomb raider is trying be like uncharted.
Changes can be made to give the feel of resident evil a more slow pace horror vibe without going back to the origonal gameplay of 1, 2 and 3.
Or do other prefer action gameplay that resident evil series has at the moment? Reply +1

Are the rich old men ruining Kickstarter?
I think the real issue is not how much money people have.
It is what risks would publishers take on certain kinds of games and thanks to kickstarter we can make it happen with out all that. Reply +3
Star Wars: The Old Republic re-review
There are other issues the game is having like subscribers being stuck in free to play and servers crashing alot because suddenly alot more people online and they less servers now, plus some people having trouble with cartel coins.
However as the review says yes the game is playable and worth a try. Reply 0

Ubisoft boss criticises Wii U price: "I can't say I'm happy"
Have to say sadly i am put off by the wii u and its not only the price, the design of it is putting me off.
The e3 presentation they did of it was terrible and that what made my mind up as to not buy it at launch, however if enough good games vcome to wii u i may change my mind and buy on but have become more restricted in what i buy in all my gaming, i not even buy black ops or halo atm and i know how big the 2 games are.
Im sure it will do good buy for me it not what i looking for atm.
Sorry to be negative but its how feel about it atm. Reply +4
Lost Humanity 18: A Table of Doritos
I can still remeber the days when game journalism was in magazines such as pc format, sega power, amstrad action and tons of other mags.

Yeah i think when you keep making the same type of game this is key and i know the people that work on it really work hard on it.

Funcom turns to "smaller, more focused online games" after The Secret World tanks
The guild wars way is a good way, not all games need to go complete free to play i think but subscriptions are a barrier for some. Reply 0
In terms of subscription online game sure wow will do fine but as a player, i am now very interested to see how final fantasy 14 2.0 does.
Keep reading free to play is the future, it might be for some types of games but not all games.
edit-Oh and how could i forget, but yes please make a new longest journey game. Reply 0

Request to bring back community mods, like in never winter nights and nwn2 did.
Was one of the great things about how involved the community was with the game and it could be great for dragon age 3.
I am not big on making mods but i love see what other people do with them. Reply 0
Lost Humanity 6: Killing Pirates
I think the real problem is game prices, at least for traditional video games.
Games are £10-15 too expensive £49.99 or £39.99 vs £29.99 i know which would make me want to buy more Video Games but then again i am cut down buying for personal reasons as well so...
Some people even think £29.99 too much but really not sure if it would drive sales up,but it might. any other thoughts on this? Reply 0
