  • New Super Mario Bros. U - a whole new world?

I'm sorry, but I thought this game was ridiculously fun from beginning to end and even beyond. I'm loving collecting all the star coins and completing challenges, as well as bragging about it on Miiverse. As far as graphics are concerned, I thought the game looked great as it was and I'm happy with my purchase. I like playing Far Cry 3 on my PC and enjoying the graphics, but they don't make the game. @vizzini You don't seem to understand that I'm trying to defend console gaming here. I like the Wii U, I like the PS3 and I like the 360. What I'm saying is, for the people that hate on Wii U for it's 'sub par' graphics, why not try a PC and stop acting like next gen consoles are the holy grail, when it's likely that a current PC will destroy them. @43n1m4 That's true but I never insinuated that wasn't the case. I was just stating that gaming PCs now are far superior to current consoles, and shall be far superior to next gen as well. If anybody thinks they're getting better graphics than Crysis 2 with DX11 and high res textures at 1080P/60fps then I think they're deluded. Reply +4

For everyone that this concerns there is a simple solution; don't buy one. I'm buying a Wii U because I missed most of this generation (had a Wii and PC). I owned a PS3 and 360 but I never played them all that much because I was getting superior versions of multiplat games on PC and I prefer Nintendo for exclusives (apart from Halo and Ratchet & Clank games). If people are complaining about the hardware then they shouldn't be buying Nintendo consoles and they should just wait to see whatever Sony and Microsoft produce and leave Nintendo fans that actually appreciate the console well alone.

And I should also mention that if you're really concerned about framerates and graphical fidelity you should just buy a PC. My PC now will produce better graphics, framerates and resolutions than your next gen consoles will at the end of their life cycle, it's THAT simple. Thank you.

I gave my Vita to my bro for his birthday simply because it didn't have enough to keep me going. Sure, Uncharted was fantastic (maybe the best handheld game ever?) but nothing else interested me. I think when more software is released I'll be getting another one, because it's a seriously sexy piece of kit (moreso than 3DS, and I love Nintendo). Reply 0

@vizzini I can't believe you're quoting Pachter. The man is almost never right and is only known because of the controversial bullshit that he spews all the time. Reply +7

And Nintendo have me done me a kipper again. I do love Nintendo enough to forgive them but seriously? I paid 200 for the console and all I get is a few retro games, most of which I've completed previously.

If this was a revision with two C-Pads on board then I'd be all over it, or if the analogue slider actually matched the colour of the unit.
