  • Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusive to Xbox One

Disappointed that your game only sold 4 million copies? The obvious solution is to make it a console exclusive. Reply +3
  • Iwata isn't Nintendo's problem. It's Miyamoto

I think another problem (along with some mentioned already) is us - the fans. When Nintendo announces a new console, instantly we say "Where's Zelda? Where's Metroid? Where's Smash Bros.?" Hell, just looking at these comments I see people asking for F-Zero and Star Fox (franchises I consider to be largely dead).

While there's nothing wrong with this, naturally Nintendo will (largely) answer their fans because they're the most vocal. I think Nintendo are only looking at the past because we are asking for the past. Even recent series are subject to this - people were screaming for a new Galaxy when Nintendo mentioned '3D Mario for Wii U.'

While catering towards the fans is definitely a good thing, it's been shown in the sales of the Wii U that relying on that market is not dependable or profitable. It's time for Nintendo to start listening to lesser voices from critics or non-Nintendo gamers more, and perhaps (dare I say it?) listening to fans less.

  • Majora's Mask revival teased in New Smash Bros. Assist Trophy

@YenRug I'm of the theory that they're making an alternate universe version of Majora's Mask, seeing as the mask is in A Link Between Worlds and it's on a different timeline to the original game. Canonically, an item could appear in multiple timelines and it would allow Nintendo to remake it instead of remaster it. Reply 0
