"Why are we trying to reinvent gta 3/ halo2/ gears 2 etc etc?, lets just make the SAME GAME. /sigh. "
No, they are saying they followed the style and feel set out in Warcraft 3. To say Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft are the same game because they look similiar is an incredibly daft thing to suggest, even more so when you consider two of the games you mention look extremely similiar to their forebears. "The ability to start a Death Knight at level 55 on any server, as long as you have a character of that level or above"
To clarify, you actually need the level 55 character to be on the same server as you wish to create the DK. I know because I had to pay £15 to transfer one over (make sure to get yourself something nice with that, Blizzard). Reply0
Hmm. I'm intending to purchase another xbox when I get Halo 2 (for live), but I'm not sure what to do now. I assumed they'd have a bundle with the Limited Edition version of Halo 2, but that now seems to not be the case. Reply0
This game looks far in advance of what the original GTA did graphically, from the screenshots it looks like proper 3d. Does it not actually look like that when playing it? Reply0
"I wish I could, but it will compromise my position in the industry - I'm not willing to take that chance, lest it be leaked. I'm sorry I even brought it up mate."
"Oh no! The lorry driver has stopped for a cup of tea!"
Heh.
"Errr, because presumably a lot of people are actually preloading it?"
Well presumably they don't need you to tell them, then. Slim has a point I suppose, as does swelt. I still think anyone who is downloading it would more than likely be keeping an eye on Steam or the Steam webpage, though. Reply0
