  For me, this game is such good value for money. Not many other indie games would have the balls to charge for an Alpha version, but you get a great game already and with the knowledge that there is going to be so much more added - Starting with a big update on the 31st.

  Good review on the whole but as DP says, the speed factor can be partially overcome by using the Speed server. It is a great game for logging on to a couple of times a day to add some build orders. Only when you are in a full scale war or have loads of villages does it suck up a lot of your time. Reply 0

  Gurrah - You can't be serious regarding the bugs! Maybe I have a different view of the game as I only got it a few months back and the patch installed before even playing, but certainly with the newest one I could find it runs far far better than even the patched version of Aftermath...
  
  The turnbased/realtime aspect does annoy me though...Played far too much turnbased when I was younger I guess :o) Reply 0

  Got Aftershock for a tenner a wee while back and really enjoyed it. Some major improvements over the first one, this video seems to back up that they are doing the same again. Looking very nice to me!

  While I agree that this does look to be a slightly off version of CoD, some of the things they were talking about doing differently sounds really good. Mainly the map is split into big massive sections and you have control over where you jump from. Was from a pre-preview of the game on here...
