Dead Space 3: Awakened review
What will Dust 514 do about PlayStation 4?
Unfortunately the very base of the gameplay is terrible, it actually quickly becomes unbearable for me. I'm not a great fan of fps games but I can boot up counterstrike and have a blast, just the basic physics, aiming moving and looking, along with the feel of the weapons, it all seems very wrong in dust.
It's one thing trying to integrate two games like this and create a more open world with skill development etc etc, but till the actual basic gameplay works I doubt I'll attempt this game again, which is a shame as it had such promise. Reply +2

(Also, ever tried browsing the app store? It's horrifically badly designed) Reply 0
However, there is also an issue with regards screening and quality on the app store. Apple seem to have an approach where if it breaks copyright it is evil, if it rips off or steals money from their customers it's not worth removing.
There are hundreds of apps that are dodgy copies of others, pretending to be something they aren't or are even more dodgy, trying to steal money via dodgy in-app purchases. These can often appear to be highly rated due to the terrible reviewing system and the way apps can attempt to clear bad reviews by releasing an update.
So yeah, when you get information about an app via a third party it helps, but just browsing and using the app store, I can understand why people are resistant to paying over a quid. It's easy to be ripped off and good luck trying to get your money back, even if the app has broken trading standards.
Yeah there's people who are just tight and only support shitty cheap crap, but I don't think it's just that simple, and would love to see apple actually sort their store out, they can certainly afford to. Reply 0

I think I get some free time if you end up signing up, but really just putting it out there if people want to see what Eve's like. The more the merrier Reply 0
Love Eve, wish I'd have seen this live, I'm a bit too nooby at the moment for this type of action. Reply 0

Games of 2012: XCOM: Enemy Unknown
So long as you don't play it thinking "But that isn't like the old xcom!" and accept how the game plays, you should be in for an enjoyable time. Reply 0

Dark Souls 2 officially announced
If they can get the game mechanics right again it'll be a winner. Hopefully they can match the feel of the previous games too. Reply 0

Saturday Soapbox: It just worked?
I realise they aren't just on iOS any more, in fact I'm not sure where they started, but I do know I love pretty much all their games (even if some are now getting a little samey) Reply +1
