Hot Fuzz is certainly one that grows on you with repeated viewing. I thought it was awful when I first saw it but I watched it again for some reason and enjoyed it a lot more.

    Texas Chainsaw - 2/10

Either a film so utterly terrifying that my mind had to blank it out, or a film so utterly bland and forgettable, that I struggled to remember it's name 30 minutes later. Either that or my memory's going.

The plot sees a load of uncharismatic, teen meat-sacks travel to Texas as a young woman goes to collect her inheritance. It does not go well for anyone, especially for the poor viewer.

There's not even any fun in trying to guess what kind of a horrible death each of them is going to have. The deaths are not that inventive anyhow. Chainsaw to body bits may not be that inventive but it's a quick, efficient and effective way to deal with those meddling kids.

It also has one perfect example of someone doing THE most incredibly stupid thing that only happens in horror films. I mean, come on! Pop quiz hotshot! You're young, fit and healthy and you've got some mad fucker with a chainsaw coming after you and he's about 30 feet away. What do you do? A true Darwin award winner there folks!

It doesn't even have the good sense to get the young leads (so I'm not accused to being sexist) into as little clothes as possible whilst they're being chased around. They obviously thought the plot was good enough not to resort to this kind of cheap thrill tactic. They were wrong.

It's suitable violent and gory in places though and it's gets close of being something resembling halfway decent towards the end for about 5 minutes.

One of the worst horror films I've seen in a very long time.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

That one with Matthew McConaughey and Renee Zellweger is worth watching because it seems bad on the surface, yet the weird mix of actual horror and camp horror parody make it strangely watchable. Not that I'd recommend renting it, but it's so bat-crap crazy it almost works. Almost.

He's does the prologue voice-over, which was probably where half the budget went...because it ain't on the screen.

He is. I vaguely remember him doing the narration although, to be fair, the only things I can remember from that film are conan poking his finger up that guys nose hole and rose mcgowans crazy hairdo.

    Ghostquake

Danny Trejo has been in a range of films, some good, some bad and this is terrible. It really has no redeeming qualities. He plays the Janitor in a school where an evil ghost has awakened. The ghost is the serial killer who once ran the school.

In fairness I wasn't expecting much, but I didn't even get that much. The effects are rubbish, the acting terrible and the story uninspired. It's not even in the 'it's so bad, it's good category' it's just rubbish.

At first I thought it might have been a dodgy comedy, but it wasn't funny either. The ghost is ridiculous. You should avoid this film.
