    Arkham Horror! Can't recommend it highly enough.

    It looks intimidating, but it's really fairly simple when you get into it. There's just an awful lot of cards and counters involved that make it look a lot more complex than it really is.

    It's really good and delivers on gameplay and theme very well IMO.

    It's a bit like Wings of War/Glory, but the movement templates and dials are a bit less clumsy than the manouvre cards.

    I've already pre-ordered the wave 2 bundle from the guru - the Falcon & Slave 1 look the tits.

    It is going to hurt the wallet though as it is one of those games where you won't be able to resist new releases. A-wing and TIE interceptor too next week. I'm guessing TIE bomber and B-wing for wave 3. They'll have to start getting into extended universe stuff after that though, although i'm hoping they don't restrict it to space and we see AT-ATs vs Snowspeeders at some point.

    Dday dice is an excellent co op game that isn't too hard to learn.

    I had a 6 1/2 hour game of diplomacy last night with 7 of us. Utterly amazing game, even if I ended up being ganged up on. Shame that you usually run out if time before the victory condition is met though.

    Well, for me it was a mate got me into them, so already had a fairly regular group I could join. Since then I've found another boardgamer at work and a couple of others that are keen to try a few games out.
    Also joined London on Board, but not turned up at any meets yet (I don't live in London, but go there for work occasionally).
    If you've got a decent game shop locally, check in there. There's bound to be a group nearby, and from my experiences so far, boardgamers are a friendly bunch.
    Alternatively, just pick up a few decent gateway games and get your mates hooked.

    Suggested to my girlfriend that I should get Risk Legacy and we decided to play with her sister and her sisters boyfriend. We were all unsure we'd even enjoy playing it and now everyone's clamouring to arrange the next time to play.

    At first I wondered if we would ever play the fifteen games. We played eight in a month.

    The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

    I played a rubbish game last night called Shakespeare : a Bard Game. It was testiment to the joys of board games that we all had a great time anyway, getting into roles, acting out distress. Became really really fun in the end.

    I was lucky, found out that a work friend was into them so I now tag along with his group. Before that I only played the occasional game with my dad and his friends, although I have had a little bit of success getting my friends into them recently

    Played Call of Cthulhu: The Card game last night.

    After Netrunner, it's possibly the best card game I have ever played. Already ordered two of the expansions for it.

    Anyone played Clash of Cultures before? We're playing it on Sunday. It looks an awful lot like Civilization - with a research tree, developing land tiles, building up cities and armies, etc.

    Had a lovely first game of Carcassonne with my mum and gf last night. Still don't think we fully worked out the scoring system at the end but still, fun was had.

    I have finally gotten round to cleaning up my house and found Ghost Castle hidden away in one of my cupboards the other night. I loved playing this when I was a kid.

    There was a tear in my eye when I threw it out but The Mighty Rose has kept the rather cool glow in the dark skull, the model black staircase and also some of the backdrops as I can maybe use them in my lbp levels in future.

    Anyone after the latest data pack for NetRunner, Cyber Exodus?

    I seem to have accidentally ordered 6 copies instead of 1. Only discovered this when they arrived today. They're supposed to be in short supply in the UK at the moment as well. PM me if interested.

    The first expansion I ordered for the coc card game arrived yesterday. Some decent cards, but very Misktatonic University heavy. Got another 3 ons the way, then next week I will probably grab the Secrets of Arkham and Silver Twilight ones for an extea faction and mechanics.

    Just played a couple of games of Munchkin (vanilla ed.) with my brother and our better halves. Very good fun indeed - think I might pick up a copy on Monday.

    I love Zombicide, have another session planned for Friday, so really looking forward to that. :)

    @daft - no wish to derail, but their goal was $25000 and with a month to go they've already got over half a million dollars. Strikes me as a publicity stunt tbh.
