Finally, having the career mode injected with a bit more drama and personality somehow would be fandabbydozie. Not sure how they should go about this though.
I was thinking about this when I was first playing FNR3 a year and a bit ago...
I'd like a kind of 'Rocky' rags to riches story. Create your player and start out at the gym. Atfer a few rounds impressing your coach and promoter they arrange your first fight and things progress naturally. However, in your story you could be approached by other sponsors/promoters, etc, and be asked to throw fights in certain rounds for extra spondoolies or other rewards. The extra monies could buy you better training partners or equipment, or, if you don't throw the fights you'll advance ranks, etc, but there would be some other kind of penalty to even it out a little, like certain people won't work with you as you "don't do as you're told".
All that stuff would be influential in developing your style and look, etc, and help actually form your own individual fighter. I only thoght about it for about 3 hours so I haven't worked anythig out in detail but it would be a little more interesting than just 'train, fight, train, fight, etc, etc'.

The problem is all the big guns want a lot of to be on the game. They paid Lewis loads a few years ago to get him on it but I don't even EA can justify paying that every year. With regards to Tyson? I believe it has something to do with the fact he had his own game. Would be cool though.

Anyone remember Tyson on the puch out game before he was chucked when he got involved in the rape scandal.

    Better Career mode?

/stole these from my earlier search on it :D

    Some of my own then...

    Online tournaments/career,

Improved training minigames for your boxers.
oh god yes! those minigames are so lackluster.

    That would be excellent.
They seemed to be going slightly towards a story element on FN3, though the while rivalry implementation on FN3 was pretty poor... but atleast it shows they might be leaning towards it.

I found the online game to be pretty unrealistic in fight night round 3. Found lots of players just using haymaker after haymaker hoping to get lucky which to me says that something was wrong in the balance of the game.

They could include some kind of promoter mode where you have to try to sign your boxer for fights, try to negotiate to get the fights on your home soil. Not sure how they would actually turn that into much of a game, though.

Maybe it's because you're watching a cam recording from miles away, on MySpace. I'd imagine this isn't the best scenario to show off the games visuals.

Trailer, says its out in the summer. Tyson! Fuuuuuuuck yeeeeeaaah. More vids of people's impressions on the site. Best thing for me was someone saying "it doesn't even look like FN3, like two totally different games"

    No button controls. None.
    /stick fascist ;)

Our gaming group plays "buttons only". Using super-punches with sticks is outlawed.

edited due to untimelyness of post ;)

All of my mates that play this use buttons only and I just can't bring myself to use them. The sticks just feel right. Imo using buttons turns it into a quickest combo contest somewhat instead of a real boxing game.

I missed out on the last one due to being without an XBOX, still worth picking up on the cheap you think? This new one looks superb.
