You'd hope so, or that guy has been doing something wrong.

CRC labs are luxurious apparently - customised carpets, windows etched with logos....but they do this to attract the best scientists...

I would think bunging them more money would work just as well.

I posted a picture of my dog and claimed it was my no make up selfie.

Has 4 likes and looks more attractive than the genuine ones to be honest.

Most of the ones I've seen have definitely involved a little makeup. Sad really.

The VR masks are to allow people to pilot the drones.

Didn't there use to be an option where you clciked the little arrow in the top right corner of a facebook post and selected an option to "see less of this person".

I had a few friends who got in the habit of spamming their facebook with the same shit over and over again. One was massively into running. So it was daily posts about her runs.
The other was an older family member who visited a number of recipe sites twice a week, so on those days there would be huge blocks of 10-20 recipes in my news feed.

I'm following EG on facebook and any time I go on facebook I have to wade through far too many EG posts. I was hoping to just use the "less of this" option but it seems to be gone. I can only remove EG, or block them or report them for spam. No "I kind of like this but I'd like a little less of it please" option. :-/

Yeah I went through 2 rounds of the "help make the newsfeed better" where they show you a recent post that was in your feed and you tell them if you like it or not or if you think it's advertisement.

That seemed pretty useless. Time to unlike Eurogamer I think.
Top tip for EG's social media manager: try a post a day or so instead of carpet bombing and posting every new article right away onto your facebook.

It feels like I've ridden the bow wave of Facebook past saturation point (I've never registered an account), even past the point where websites and apps require you to login via Facebook (haven't used them).

Is it only going towards MySpace heaven now?

I'm not one of those people who treat their friend count as a score, but I think it's rude when somebody removes you as a friend. They can ignore you on their feed but they would rather disassociate themselves from you by removing you as a friend. I've also had a couple of situations where somebody is obviously looking at my profile and they accidentally hit the friend request button and quickly remove the request. I can still see it on my phone.

I've moved from Facebook to Twitter 'full time' now.

Is anyone else's 'newsfeed' being utterly spammed to fuck by people 'liking' pages you have a) nothing to do with and b) find really annoying?

It's odd. My feed is pretty much entirely 'x liked this from December 2013 [or some other period over 3 months ago]' and it's the usual Facebook shit. Why am I seeing it? Or is this normal and somehow I've avoided it? I get the odd shit post, obviously, but not so much from other fucking people fucking liking this shite.

I had a massive culling session. I now have about 5 friends, and one of them is the wife.
I just use facebook as a way of keeping up to date with bands I like now.
No bitching, no updates on people's bowel habits, no god bods, and the wife sends my daily fix of cat pics.

I regret putting so much of my info on there plus facebook would still hold the data even if you delete your account.

I only keep the profile purely for contact reasons.

People's reliance on facebook. I should never have participated.

You know how every site now has click bait links at the bottom of each page. My newsfeed is pretty much that interspersed with ads.

I really need to restrict my Facebook to closest friends and family but I cant quite bring myself to delete people who I know I will lose contact with if I do.

I'd delete it in a flash if I didn't have ten or so friends who are so shit at staying in touch any other way...

I don't even have the wife - I live with her, so see her most days!

I use it mainly to follow protest groups, some small businesses/local restaurants, websites I don't go to that often.

Facebook needs to be shut down. To much time is wasted there.

"Life is full of ups and downs so now it's time for the ups" type posts.

    [selfie]

"[image with text about how great life is]".

"[image with text about how great friends are]".

    [selfie]

"[image with text about how shit men are]".

    "Time to start another diet".

    I fucking despair.

I never get sick of cat pics though. Facebook is brilliant for keeping up with latest tours/albums.
My sister hasn't talked to me for two months though after removing her.
Got sick of all the 'need a million likes'  or the worst were the stop animal cruelty or peta posts.

Trailer Trash has been at it again. Her of three kids, three different dads all of whom have bailed. Her photo album is something else! Latest update is of her (fully clothed) posing in different positions with various different kinds of dildos. Last week she was sucking off a blow up monkey with a huge penis.

She's just stated that she's now met her "Prince Charming" and posted a photo of them together. He looks like a right fucking bell-end scumbag. Won't be long before she'll be pregnant again.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

It's really gone to the dogs. Used pretty much exclusively now to set up football with a group with the lads. The actual newsfeed drives me crazy. Same pointless shite liked by people day after day.

I didn't realise stuff I liked would be shared with others. I'd better lay off the Hungarian Donkey Porn liking.
