    So far today, about 1005 calories, 80g of carbs, 37g of fat, 99g of protein and 17g of sugar

    all totally within my aims.

    unfortunately 3 rashers of bacon and the pret soup takes me up to a whopping 3858mg of salt in one day :-(

    thats not my daily diet though, normally i have cheerios or shreddies for breakfast.

    No idea how many calories I will take today. Breakfast Big bowl of branflakes, 2 crumpets with the butter just Melting into them straight away, that juicy succulent taste to each one. One with peanut butter other lemon curd. Had small packet of raisins during trip to the gym. Just done my cardio session. Didn't make any sarnies today, so probably pint of milk and couple of cooked chicken thighs from Sainsburys on the trip home.

    No joke.

    The guy who does the 'advance' spinning class at my gym!

    Yeah, he is in tip-top shape, but you know ... even if I was, I would never go around saying that someone is a bit overweight.

    Maybe I am letting him get to me for no reason; I shall happily tell him that his arms are too thin next time or something.

    : )

    @pistol

    Always have a piece of fruit when I get home plus evening meal always has 3-4 types of vegetables, usually steam cooked with which meat the meal is planned around.

    Evening meaning depending on that days workout is usually my favourite meal of the day

    I'm going to take a break from exercise for a week in the hope that it will fix me slightly.

    Does anyone else do "fallow weeks"?

    Come and get it cumslingers!

    At least you're not as fat as that monkey guy. He's HUUUUUUGGGEEEEE! He needs more training and definitely could do with less breaks.

    I've never heard that expression. I do deload though, it is healthy to reduce volume/intensity on a fairly regular basis, it will actually facilitate long term progress in my experience.

    I suppose that's what I'm doing. I'm just scared that carrying on at the same intensity will lead to an injury.

    Downloaded the Zombie Run app today, as I just don't enjoy running. This is in the hope that it'll keep me entertained enough to do a couple of runs a week.

    Going for my first run (in about eight months) tonight using it Kinda excited.

    @CharlieStCloud

    If that's instructor is like that, then he would hate me in his class, im 6ft and around 17 stone

    Good cardio session today, almost broke the 4min target for 1km on the rower. Had to stop 2 times to get my breath back, rolled in with 4.12 on level 6. I will beat that time :)

    I took a week off at the start of last month (practising my form without weights), before that I kept getting nerve pain/twinges in my upper right trap during any pulling movement.

    It fixed that problem but I felt more pain all over, even warming up, when I resumed normal service..

    Is the pain in actual muscles or shoulder joint? Could just be knotted muscles or trapped nerves. See sports injury clinics for a massage. Used to get tightness across upper traps/shoulders mainly from bad posture slouching at a desk all day at work. Massage once a month worked a treat to get rid of the pain

    Isn't that expensive? Unless you have a nice wife or something.

    @ronuds

    Guess different places different prices. The one I used to use was about 35 for 45mins. Not too bad if just a once a month visit. Was about couple of years ago so guess prices have changed now. Have to get my traps/shoulders checked out, just feeling very tight.

    First run in many, many months accomplished. Feels great.

    It was rainy, cold and dark, and I loved every second. Love the afterglow I'm feeling right now :)

    Oh, good lad! Hope you continue to enjoy that 'afterglow' in the foreseeable future.

    ... running, cycling and swimming means I very rarely feel the need to venture into the gym.

    Yeah I think it may be a nerve moving out of place because I can massage it hard and it sorts it out (fortunately I can reach it just behind the right side of my neck). A proper sports massage might sort it for longer though.
