Speaking of which, by my calculation sport is due to be finishing his next 90 day round any day now, so we're due a fresh batch.
You'd be right Zom, still got about 2 weeks left on my P90X/Insanity hybrid program - took about a weeks break between programs. Got a pic or 2 if anyone's interested - Can't see massive change myself but I think I have "leaned" out slightly due to the inclusion of Insanity. Also, I haven't been as strict with myself regarding diet during the second program - still eating healthy but not uber calorie counting.

So BMF was a success: did pretty well in the intermediate group. Will probably go again.

The only downside was that I wiped out spectacularly on the final hill run -- by then it was around 8pm and dark in the park, and I cockily tried to blitz up the hill and overtake rauper who was ten or fifteen metres ahead of me. Cue me planting my lead foot in a rabbit hole, commando-rolling to try and recover, and buggering up my shoulder. It's a bit sore this morning.

For anyone using protein or other supplements, remember to get your bulk orders in this week. As of 1st October all sport supplements are subject to VAT so will be 20% more expensive. Nice legacy for the Olympics to leave behind, isn't it? :-)

Still, at least pasties are still VAT-free - them's the actions of a government concerned about the well-being of its citizens >:-)

Jeez. Mitch will be devastated to learn Cam's gone straight.

Any of you chaps using RunKeeper? I started using it this morning. Feel free to add me to your "Street Team":

I'm using it but never bothered creating an account. What are the benefits other than comparing others' runs etc? Am considering of getting a GPS watch instead, the Garmin Forerunner 410 has taken my fancy and is quite cheap on Amazon atm.

That remains to be seen! I'm interested in tracking my average pace to see if it increases, as well as using it to track the average distance of my runs. Looking to attain a sub-50 10k pace by Christmas.

Diet has gone a bit wonky over the last week. Seem to have depression kicking in again which is annoying as I thought I was past it. =/

I used Runkeeper, but recently defected to Nike+ due to the challenges and thread here. However, it's not that great on GPS on my my phone for some reason and lost 8.5 miles of my 10 mile run on saturday. Which borked my 1k, 5k and 10k fastest records to 0:00, so I had to delete the run to fix it.

This is the second time I've had to do that, so I think I'm going back to runkeeper for a while, at least until the Nike+ challenges get reactivated. I don't use it religiously, but it's nice to have a record of your progress.

Sub-50 should be quite do-able Craigy, how far off that are you now?

It's getting back to sub-45 pace that I find a struggle now I am older and have less running time. A mate who I used to be able to keep pace with can now occasionally go sub-40, much to my chagrin. :(

Funny that, as I've defected from Nike+ after using the iPod nano widget/shoe pebble for the last few years. I don't use it now I'm used to having my iPhone strapped to my arm when I do my exercise, and the GPS mapping is way cool. Data loss sucks!

I'm just starting running again after a layoff, so my pace is around the 60 minute mark. The most important thing for me is getting my endurance back, as three miles is enough for me just now.

Cheeky mates who have the knack of running faster than me are why I work out on my own :D

Had a really bad week eating for some reason this week. > 2500 kcal every day (though never higher than 3000).

Just can't seem to get my head in the game. A lot of it is from alcohol too. =/

Well, this is my final weekend of my second P90X 90-day "round". As stated before, it was more of a P90X/Insanity hybrid with a few more rest days thrown in - I wasn't as strict with myself as I was in the first round, but I stuck with the program pretty closely.

I'm really happy with the results and I'm at a crossroads now, deciding if I want to do a more strength based 90-day round (maybe heavy-weight P90X2) or do a all out cardio 60-day blast with Insanity.

And yes, I do have pics Zom ;-P

Not sure why I haven't been following this thread more closely as I've been working on my weight loss for a couple of years with some success.

I'm 5"7, in my mid-late 30's and up until a couple of years ago I was tipping 13 stone on the scales and quite frankly feeling a bit of a mess. Two things radically changed me for the better. Firstly I took the decision to stop using public transport on my journey to and from the station, and instead briskly walked the mile and a half each way every day. Secondly I joined Weight Watchers online and rigidly stuck to the task with a goal weight of 11 stone 7 pounds. The walking left me out of breath every day, and combined with the diet, I hit the target weight in less than 4 months and cruised down to 11 stone which is where I am today. It's at the top end of my BMI safe zone, but I don't think I'd look well if I pushed the weight down much further.

I can't stress enough how vital the walking is to maintaining the weight loss, especially as I've now stopped the WW diet. Also just started karate training which is really helping me to tone up. It's a fantastic blend of cardio work and muscle strengthening and I can't recommend it highly enough. Going for my first grading in December

Take a raincheck on that until I've been training for another 6 months at least?
