    Scary

I wonder how long until the company that makes them starts fitting them out with facial recognition technology and machine guns. Automated contract killings.

Cool, I like it, remove the landing gear and it would look really futuristic.

That'd be so cool, I need to get me one of these drone thingys.

I'd program in the route to the local takeaway and only pilot it when it has to navigate inside the building. The takeaway bag could be securely attatched to its landing gear and hey presto, great delivery.

They've scaled it up a bit,
    militarah stylee

I for one will be making a call to the CIA for some Stinger missiles to aid in overthrowing our 'Communist' regime ^_^

There was a bried discussion on these in the random news thread

Basicaly boiled down to the police using them for keeping an eye out for voyeurs peeking in a backyard nude sunbathers.

And the inevitable arms race between voyeurs, the police and Psychotext.
  • Deleted user 24 January 2010 22:18:10
    Fuck the Police.

I want my own Predator drone so I can rain down fiery death on any motherfucker who messes with my bins.

We can only achieve a fair society if the toys the police have access to are available to all.

    Y'know, like the USA.

Seems a bit dangerous having these things fly themselves about.

If only we could watch the fuckers in charge as closely and as often as they want to watch us.

Did you see the story of the guy in Edinburgh last week bought an ex US Army helicopter drone thing and crashed it in about 5 seconds.

They'd be good in riots, buzz them in low like flying lawnmowers.

Just wait till one of these things breaks and drops on some poor sods head.

    Then they'll know.

Guarantee that if it drops on a council estate it'll be torn apart and the bits put on ebay or a Corsa within 20 minutes :)
