How dare you bringing this aborted fetus of a thread back to topic.

I've always used mine without case, but thinking about a folio case now my wallet has less and less stuff in it. Most are too bulky though.
I usually use the apple ones, I'm too clumsy and I usually sell my phone after a year in top nick and get top dollar.

nick is slang, but I don't think it rhymes with anything. And dollar is cockney rhyming slang for... dollar.

The phone staying awake when it knows you are looking at it is brilliant. Current having to essentially transcribe something that someone has sent to me in fucking .pages (why?!?!) and as my surface pro canít open it I have the my iPhone beside me with the doc open. Another thing, alongside the notification handling which has shifted, significantly, my expectations for phones going forward.

Haven't all phones had the option to do that for years? I remember having it turned on a Samsung S3.

Yeah probably has been. But first Iíve noticed it so prob new to iPhone. The handling of notifications is brilliant.

MY wife, as a massive Apple fangirl, is ready to switch to another make of phone after this recent debacle. Pre-update it was absolutely fine, now it randomly switches itself off anywhere between 40-60% battery life, every single day. She's basically having to leave it on charge as much as humanly possible so it remains usable.

Itís fucked. Take it to an Apple store at least so you can sell it before buying another phone.

@ModoX Isn't that the exact opposite of what was supposed to happen?

In theory yeah, I dunno what's gone on.

And yeah I'll drag her to an Apple store to get it sorted, and try to stop her throttling the employees in a red mist.

The battery life on my 6S Plus is starting to tail off now, funnily enough I'm due an upgrade in the middle of this month. I plan to get the battery replaced and keep it, however, saving £20 quid a month by going pay-as-you-go.

I am getting my 6s plus a new battery on Saturday. I have to charge it twice a day now. Kept looking at new phones but really, this thing is still brilliant. Very smooth only thing lagging behind a little bit now is the camera for stills, excellent for 4K video. Means I have £400 of CEX vouchers burning a hole..

Iíll obviously believe it happened to them, shit happens, but as evidence a nefarious plot by Apple? Nope, youíd need a LOT of people to be seeing the same thing for that to makes sense.

Funnily enough, this whole thing has spurred me on to get an iPhone and give the Mrs my S8.

The iPhone 7 is only 350 on envirofone atm, so a cheeky little battery refresh for 25 quid next December will see it kick on for a bit yet.

I know it was a while ago but someone was asking about playing YouTube in the background. You can do it using dolphin browser Iíve discovered.

ProTube was the best app for this. Unfortunately Google got on to Apple about it and had it removed from the store so itís no longer receiving updates, Iíve still got it on my iPad but the video playback finally broke last week so itís done for. A real shame.

Thereís an app called Tubex which also does the same thing, thereís a headphones button which enables it. And like you said, Dolphin browser is also a good choice.

Man, Dolphin Browser. That name takes me back. I think I used to use it to play Flash stuff on my HTC Desire.

I have seen a lot of people saying that. And you're the only one banging on about a "nefarious plot".

Need to take my 6S in for a free battery replacement soon, what are the chances of them not sneakily upgrading me to the latest version of iOS when they do it?
