it tastes sort of watery, i let it brew for about a minute and a half or so, i might try it for longer next time, but not too much longer.
Its quite pleasant though isnt it? Sort of mild and fluffy... Its a sort of calming taste.
I only drink coffee normally, but this is... different

Registered 7 years agoYou also get Japanese Sencha with puffed rice stuff in it. Adds a nice new dimesion to it, can't remember what it's called though. -

Registered 8 years agoAs an update to this already riveting thread... I'm currently sat in work drinking a cup of nice Sencha with Lemon, let it brew a bit longer this time and have a nice mellow but full of flavour taste now. I think i'm getting the hang of this brewing malarkey.
I might move onto some of the more 'hardcore' tea once this packet has been consumed. -

Registered 11 years agoGood. I've just got back from China and have some proper Green Tea here. I don't know what it's called but it cost £40 a packet and makes Sencha taste like stinkweed.--------------------------------------------------------------------

For the health benefits (natural thermogenic, antioxidants, less caffine etc) I recently ditched a normal brew in favour of the greener stuff with lemon, its lovely, so damn refreshing!

I still like Green tea however.

Registered 3 years agoI have a cupboard full of various white, green, and oolong teas, as well as a bunch of tea pots and infusers. My favourite being an oolong called Ice Peak Tung Ting.
I rarely drink any of it though. Yorkshire Tea every time.

We have tons of different kinds at home, the missus family bring new varieties when they visit from china. I have found that the fancier the less it tastes. Had a weird one today that smelled like cruched blackpepper.
I just chuck a pinch in the bottom of a pint glass and top it up with hot water. i use the same leaves three to five times.If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

Registered 4 years agoLove green tea. I like the flavoured ones as well - Twinings Green Tea with Mint is really nice, very refreshing. Also like the Apple & Pear one. And the ginger one. I find the best way is to make a pot with one bag, gives a nice strength.Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.

I prefer white tea or something fancy like silver tip with jasmine to green tea. I still quite like a green tea though.
