Pat Barry's asked to be released from the UFC. I think back to K1 for him.

    Fight niiiiight!

Just placed a few bets. Overeem, Faber, Aldo, Iaquinta, and Hester all to win.

Anyone watched the latest episode of The Reem? It's a goodun.

Bah, knew I should have ignored my wishful thinking and bet on Barao instead.

LOL at DFW slamming Reem at the post-fight presser. If he thinks Reem looked bad, what about Mir and the fact that he only landed 5 strikes in the entire fight?

I'm going to UFC Fight Night in London with a few mates.

One of them is Swedish and knows Alexander Gustafsson. We are going to the after party! Will be quite bizarre I'm sure... :)

^ lucky; although I heard they get pretty rowdy with drunk idiots picking fights :D

Last night was great; first time I've seen either Aldo or Barrao (sp?) fight, both seemed very classy.

I got the, possibly false, impression that Faber didn't have the fire that comes with belief that you can actually win.

He seemed different to the last time I saw him fight where he goes at his opponent with the tenacity of a pitbull.

Just a thought, might be wrong.

@bitch_tits_zero_nine I've been to 2 UFC's before. The last one being UFC 120, where I went with some EG'ers, got absolutely leathered and woke up on someone's hotel room floor.

Hilarious how much I've changed in a few years!! :D

not confirmed for the London one, might be away for it, but if I'm in the UK {and my wife lets me} i'll be there :)

@El_MUERkO yes it was great, the seats were amazing!

This time round we got 100 seats.

The ringside seats are 165 and are sold out from what I can see. The back of ringside (crap view) are 125.

So I opted for 100 a ticket ones at the front of the tiered seats. I sat there for UFC 120 and the view was excellent!

Bah, Rashad is injured so the bout with Cormier is cancelled. Was looking forward to Suga derailing the DC hype train.

I hear Cormier is still eager to fight and Sonnen has volunteered his services. I hope Cormier still gets to fight somebody. It's a real shame for him to go through a camp and then for it all to be for naught.

I doubt the Chael thing will happen -- it's too close to his fight with Wanderlei...

I was really looking forward to DC vs Evans. I hope they can find someone who can step in. I want to see DC tested at LHW.

Quick, someone call Stephan Bonnar and Forest Griffin! They can try tag-teaming him.

So Cormier is back on UFC 170, fighting... Some guy. Not sure if this is good news or not.

Funny clash between DC and Cummins:

Love how Dana is sitting there with a big grin on his face as they go at each other.

I'm a bit guuted that Ian Mccall is out of his fight against Brad Pickett, I was really looking forward to that.

Machida vs Mousasi tonight! Bit of a dream fight for me. I think Machida will finish him early though.

Just popped a wee bet on Machida.

Anyone fancy Andy Ogle's chances tonight?

It depends on how much he has improved on the ground, because Oliviera is world class at BJJ. If he can keep it on the feet then yeah, he has a chance.

I still think Oliviera will win, home crowd, first fight of the main card.

Not sure Machida will be next in line for a title shot after that performance.

Dana White has been on one recently. Letting Melendez go, slating Overeem -- he's lost the plot.

... And JDS is a gatekeeper apparently.

I like Machida, but imagine if he stole the belt in a fight like that. Jacare didn't look too good either, but he said he was injured.

Very good fight from Erick Silva. Those heel kicks were awesome.

Well JDS is a gatekeeper in the sense that he's not getting a title shot any time soon, unless someone manages to dethrone Cain. But yeah, Nelson is a better example of a gatekeeper at heavyweight.

I really like Erick Silva. He's a younger, no-hesitation, even more explosive version of Machida. He's very emotional post-fight though, so I worry about his mental health a little bit.

DC getting pushy at the post-fight presser. Weird how his face looks all drawn out from cutting weight but he still has really chubby hips and chest.

    Fight night!

Canadian Psycho, Cummins, and Rousey are all gonna win.

Cummins has had a whirlwind week but I have to see him as a long shot. 4-0 on the regional circuit and a wrestling pedigree are a good start but Cormier has the experience, we'll just have to see how his cardio holds up after the weight cut.

McCann is the toughest fight Rousey has faced but I'd give the champ the edge, this could be a rivalry of equal talent for Rousey.

Curious to see how Maia and McDonald face off.
